Qualia - Hamilton Island

I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to stay at Qualia in 2014. It is one of the most amazing resorts I have ever stayed in and it is easy to see how it has won so many awards. We are very lucky to have a resort of such a high standard right on our back door step.

I have had several clients stay at Qualia since I have returned and each of them come back absolutely amazed at the quality and service that the resort provides. This is snapshot of my experience:

On arrival into Hamilton Island Airport, Qualia have a dedicated desk to meet and greet all guests. They organize to collect your baggage and pop you straight into a private transfer direct to the resort. You will complete the check in process and then be personally escorted to your pavilion. The Leeward Pavillions face south out to the Coral Sea and the Winward Pavillions face north out to Whitsunday Island with completely unobstructed views. Your attendant will show you right through your villa and explain how everything works. All mini bar items (excluding alcohol) are complimentary and the bathroom amenities are all the beautiful Aesop Brand.

Leeward Pavillions all have a private sundeck with two sun lounges and a table and chairs. Winward Pavilions are much larger and have a private sundeck and plunge pool. If you are celebrating a special occasion, or just want to spoil yourselves, the upgrade is well and truly worth it. Try to request Winward Pavillions 1 – 10 as they have the best views (in particular number 6 was amazing).

They have designed all of the pavillions so that when you are standing on your deck, you can't see anyone else which makes it feel very seculded and private.

All pavilions come with their own electric golf buggy for your personal use for the duration of your stay. The resort is only accessible through a main gate and you need your room key to enter. The pool areas are stunning and the Pebble Beach Restaurant has beautiful views and outstanding food. We had breakfast in the Long Pavillion which is entirely al-la-carte and I still say to this day, it was the best eggs benedict I have ever eaten! The staff go out of their way for you and are all very attentive. The whole experience is very personal and boutique and it is my top pick for that extra special holiday experience.
