HAWAII, USA

Hawaii is a favourite destination of mine and I have been there 6 times and experienced each of the 4 main Islands. Because our dollar is strong, Hawaii is a cheap holiday, but a quality destination. Oahu boasts Hawaii’s most popular sights, including Honolulu and Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbour. Also home to famous surf spots and an abundance of shopping, dining, nightlife and entertainment.

On arrival into Honolulu, after your 10 hour direct flight, I suggest that you have organized your hire car from the airport and drive via Pearl Harbour and Waikele Outlet Shopping Centre before making your way to your hotel on Waikiki Beach.  This arrival is perfect as both must do’s are on your way from the airport to Waikiki and also this has you arriving at your hotel at a good time for check-in.

The next day you could use your hire car to go snorkelling at Hanauma Bay, 20 minutes North of Waikiki.

Another place to check out would be Kauai. Kauai, The Island of Discovery, is the Hawaiian Island that Captain Cook first stepped foot onto. Kauai is also the oldest island: at six million years of age An exhilarating ride in a helicopter is a must do while in Kauai (and something that I have done each time I have been there), however, it’s not just any helicopter tour. The company that I use fly’s their helicopters with the DOORS OFF so you are guaranteed the best view and magnificent photo’s - and the scenery is breathtaking…

Aloha!
