NORWAY - Short stay in Norway

I have travelled to many country’s in Europe, and I definitely love all of them in their own unique way, however, Norway was definitely one of my favourite’s as I visited their during the time of the MIDNIGHT SUN.

Between late May and mid-August, nowhere in the country experiences true darkness. It’s mountains, fjords and glaciers are highly prized, along with its cultured cities, unspoiled fishing villages and rich historic sites.

I spent a couple of nights on this little island of Husoy…Husoy is an island about 53 km (33 mi) southwest of the city of Tromso. The island's population 232 and the village is 4 km (2.5 mi) across.Up until recent times, the island was only reachable by boat; however, it is now connected to mainland with a tunnel and a 300-metre (980 ft) long causeway. The island has a grocery store, primary and secondary school, day care, restaurant, and chapel.I only had time for 4 nights in Norway, however, this destination is definitely on my ‘to travel back to’ list.
