Bali Family Holiday and Club Med Nusa Dua

I recently returned from our family holiday in Bali, it was our first time and we loved it!  The Balinese are very friendly and provide lots of laughs, the food is delish, there are great sightseeing opportunities thanks to centuries old Temples and a culture steeped in tradition, there are cute monkeys everywhere, a Bird Park, Animal and Elephant Safari parks, coffee plantations, rice paddies and the weather is perfect for a beach holiday during our Australian Winter.

The Nusa Dua Peninsula is a fantastic destination for families and thanks to a new overpass the trip from the airport took just 20 minutes.  This region is home to some of Bali's best resorts and the beach is private so you can relax on a lounger without touts harassing you.  The Bali Collection shopping centre is within walking distance from most resorts and the trip to Kuta is only 30 minutes for a bargain shop at the markets.

I was fortunate to spend a day at Club Med and think it's probably the best option for families, especially those with older children and teenagers.  The resort is all-inclusive so you don't need to worry about further spending on drinks, food or activities.  There are so many things to keep the whole family occupied from circus school complete with Trapeze, archery, golf, tennis, basketball and water sports including snorkelling, windsurfing and kayaking.  There are kid's clubs for all age groups giving parents time to chill out, have a cocktail, visit the day spa or relax by the new Adult's only Zen Pool.  The Kid's Club fun and entertaining activities include talent shows, Master Chef, pancake parties, dancing, pool parties and so much more.

The food is fantastic with the main restaurant being a freshly prepared buffet, I'm not really a buffet kind of girl however this one is excellent and the lovely new Deck restaurant near the Zen pool is a-la carte and provides a great alternative for late breakfast, late lunch or late dinner.  Drinks are on the house and include everything from house wines, beers to cocktails.

There are some great early bird deals out for Club Med Nusa Dua so please let me know if you'd like a personalised quote and I'd love to share my firsthand experience with you!
