Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley
I couldn't describe Emirates Wolgan Valley as anything less than perfect. The staff service was the best that I have ever experienced. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dietary needs were looked after. The food was absolutely delicious. I loved the cheese room which offered many different types of gourmet cheese, all accompanied with recommended wines. The non-alcoholic wine selection was great too.
The villa was amazing. It was just so peaceful and felt very private. It is well worth asking the staff to open the doors surrounding the private pool. Each day, I enjoyed swimming in the pool and enjoying the afternoon sun and sunset view from the comfort of my own villa / pool.
I participated in one of the guided safari's which was very informative and interesting. I would suggest doing the afternoon safari upon arrival if you have the time as then you can acquaint yourself with the beautiful landscape that the resort has to offer. I also did the walk to the Glow worm Caves (approximately 15km round trip). The resort staff drive you to the departure point with a backpack full of snacks, water, walkie talkie and towels to dry your feet after walking across one ankle deep creek crossing. I felt very well looked after. The walk was fantastic. It was very nice and relaxing to go for a peaceful bush walk. I would suggest to do this self-guided tour in the morning so that you don't return too far into the heat of the day. The 1832 Homestead tour was also a must for any history enthusiast. It was very interesting and informative. If you don't participate in this tour, don't miss out on checking out the homestead on your own.Each villa includes 2 mountain bikes for your use.It is a beautiful, easy and scenic ride if you take the gate just past the homestead and head either west or along the creek line. There were certainly a lot of nature based activities but by far one of the most enjoyable times was just laying back and enjoying the peace, tranquillity and luxury of your own villa.
I would recommend this place to any person who wants to feel pampered, spoiled and relaxed in the most stunning and luxurious environment. The lower level of villa's is a great option if you prefer uninterrupted views of the scenery but don't mind a little walk or ride to the restaurant / pool area. The upper level of villa's are great if you want to be closer to the restaurant / pool area and still enjoying the stunning views. However you will look over the lower level of villa's. It is quite a way away so you need NOT worry that your privacy will be jeopardised.
A stay at this property should be on every travellers bucket list. It comes at a price, but is certainly worth it!
