I've been lucky enough to have worked in this industry for 30+ years so I have knowledge and experience by the bucket load. Yes, I have tried a few other career paths along the way (haven't we all) but travel keeps calling me back and is where I am most at home. It is what I know and what I do best. I love travelling (of course) but I also love the business of travelling - planning itineraries and researching, securing that elusive flight, finding the perfect experience to match your brief, comparing suppliers to secure the best price match, the pre-trip excitement and the post-trip stories when you return home.
Travel is not just about the destination. I pride myself in making sure that I understand what sort of experience it is that you want so that I can create very personalised itineraries. I know where to source the best products to bring a really great trip plan to life within a realistic budget - I am “price conscious” but not “price driven” and I am always customer focused. Whether it's planning a simple week-end getaway, a bucket list trip, a luxury cruise, a school group, a European discovery, an exotic honeymoon, a wedding or a corporate conference you can rest assured it will be customised to YOU to create the memories that YOU are hoping for. Afterall, when all is said and done travel is about experiences and making memories that you can talk about for years to come.
My decision to join MTA Travel in 2009 was a lifestyle choice to enable me to work AND spend time with my young family. Previous experience
My career in travel started with British Airways Holidays (no, I’m not a Brit but I have spent a lot of time there) and it ignited my passion for travel. I have since worked in wholesale, retail, leisure, luxury, corporate, group, car rental and aviation sectors of the industry.
Areas of specialty
I have extensive experience in all aspects of travel from leisure to corporate, luxury to budget, family and group holidays to solo adventures.
Australia is home but I have also lived in Dublin (Ireland), London (UK) and Auckland (New Zealand) for extended periods and travelled extensively within each. Other trips have included these destinations below.
• South America – 7 months travelling through Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands & Bolivia.
• USA - (LA and NYC primarily)
• Europe – UK, Ireland, France, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Slovakia, Austria, Greece, Greek Islands.
• Asia – Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan
• Africa - West Africa, South Africa, Botswana and Zambia
• Pacific – Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu
