My travel experience started off at an early age. Born in New Zealand in 1980, my first holiday was to the Gold Coast and Melbourne in 1988. I experienced 4 flights, 2 theme parks, a resort, loads of other attractions, a road trip from the Gold Coast to Melbourne and loads more during that trip. It was basically from then on that my fascination for aircraft, airports, theme parks, attractions, sightseeing, resorts and driving holidays began.
Having always been fascinated by travelling, experiencing other cultures, sampling regional cuisine and appreciating the overall journey of any holiday, it was natural that my career was led to begin in the travel industry.
I was first employed with a small Indonesian travel agency in 2000 based in Perth for 3 months before my 1 year stint at STA Travel began. It was with this experience and continued passion for learning that I decided that there must be more to travel than student travel, so my career lead me to working for over 5 years at a very successful Flight Centre store in the northern suburbs of Perth.
It was time for a promotion and to move onto bigger and better things, I applied for a team leader role in a brand new Escape Travel store opening in late December 2007 and I enjoyed that journey for almost 2 years.
After being with Flight Centre Limited for over 7 years in total, it was time to see what the opposition had in store and this is where I learned that there is life for a travel agent outside the mega giant that is Flight Centre. With a better work/life balance, I enjoyed almost 4 years working at Jetset, until recently where I decided that it is time for me to work for myself, rather than for someone else.
Having booked many passengers all over the world, I am experienced at offering you the best options suitable for you. I specialise in Canada/USA holidays, New Zealand and Asian holidays and I have loads of experience in around the world itineraries, group bookings and bookings for weddings. Being a family man myself, I am also considered a bit of a family holidays specialist, it's always best to book a holiday with someone who has experienced travelling with the little ones!
I am excited to work for MTA as I finally have access to everything I need from my personal laptop. For the first time ever, I am able to work from home, work with clients in their home, at their workplace, or even at their favourite coffee shop.
