Adaaran Hudhuran Fushi, Maldives. March 2023
Hudhuran Fushi is on the North Male Atoll a 30 minute speed boat ride from Male. It is set on 33.5 hectares and is renown for its left hand surfing break. The island is divided into 3 areas. Hudhuran Fushi with 127 Beach Villas and 38 Garden Villas. The beach villas are the best with number 11 being in prime position though I also liked the area near the Tiki bar. Some villas are double and can accomodate a family. Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas with 37 overwater bungalows and Lohis the more basic surfing village accommodation which has a great lantern buffet every Friday night.
I stayed at the prime position 801 Ocean Villa with a wrap around balcony. The villa was large and beautifully decorated. I had my own butler, Sundar and was entitled to eat at the pestigious Sunset restaurant. Though it was quite a walk to the main facilities I enjoyed the exercise due to the flavoursome meals. (Despite my desire to exercise, a buggy was always available) Barbo Mashuni (Tuna coconut salad) was my favourite, though the Roti Chapati was also delicious.
At the far end of the viilla peer there were lights under the water where I watched the big fish swarm. This resort has two private islands that can be used by guests. At the resort there are the standand shops including Rip Curl and tours.
In my view, this resort has a lot to offer as the island is large and there are waves and surf. It is family friendly, there were a lot of Europeans plus it is affordable.
