Lord Howe Island

What a beautiful gem this is, located under 2hrs flight from Sydney, it has to be one of my favourite island experiences of ALL time. I have been to a few, amongst others, having lived on Hayman Island for a year, the Whitsundays still fall short (in my humble opinion) of this untouched island paradise. Unspoilt by tourism, with a maximum of 400 guests’ on the island at any one time, Lord Howe Island is one of only a handful Unesco recognised Island’s in the world. Sitting in the company of Macquarie Island & the Galapagos Islands. Recognised for its untouched natural beauty, you’ll love snorkelling in the lagoon or diving on the numerous reefs surrounding the island.

  • I went diving with Howea Divers where Brian looked after me like a true professional.

  • Grab a bike from Wilsons Hire on your arrival, as that is the best mode of transport around the 11km long & 2.8km wide island.

  • I stayed at the Milky Way Villas in the Belmoreana Villa, which were fabulous, spacious, quiet & in the best location for walks & snorkelling.
