About Julie

My love of travel started in 1978 when I joined Thomas Cook Travel. In 1987, I joined my beloved Ansett Australia as a Corporate Travel Consultant and later became a Corporate Travel Supervisor leading a team of 26 consultants. We provided business and leisure travel services to some of the top corporations in Australia senior management and their families.

In 1997, on one of my yearly trips with my girlfriend to the USA and Hawaii, I met and later married my husband and we moved to Hawaii (poor me!). Whilst living in Hawaii I worked for Hawaiian Airlines at Honolulu International Airport and then with American Express. At American Express I quickly rose from Travel Consultant, to Team Leader and later to Manager, overseeing the Government & Military Travel Offices, Corporate Travel, Leisure Travel and Foreign Currency.

In 2002, my husband and I decided to move to Australia where I was employed by Synergi Travel as a Business Development Manager. I then moved to Air Canada as National Sales Manager and finally onto Air New Zealand as their Koru First & Business Class Lounge Manager for Australia based at Sydney Airport.

In 2007, my son was born and I took time off to raise him. We travelled to the USA yearly to show him off to all his American relatives who are scattered all over the USA in Oregon, California, Arizona and Florida. We do plenty of traveling when we visit, always stopping in Hawaii on the way home.

In 2012 I returned back to Travel Consulting at a suburban agency in Sydney and then in September 2014 I started my “own business” as a MTA Travel Expert.

As a MTA Travel Expert, I am backed by 24/7 Head Office airline ticketing and support – a great comfort if an unexpected event leaves you in urgent need of travel assistance.

I specialise in USA/ Canada and especially Hawaii. I lived there for 5 years and worked in their travel industry. I have also traveled extensively throughout Australia and to the UK, Belgium, Italy, France, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Argentina, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bali, Papua New Guinea, Nepal (Trekking the Himalayas), South Africa (Safaris), Mexico, cruised on Celebrity Cruises through Alaska and on Holland America to the Mexican Riviera. I have inspected many ships such as QE2, Queen Mary, Celebrity Solstice, Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas.
