Jodie's clients sharing their experiences
Chris Lawford

I've just returned from a 6 week solo trip through Italy, all arranged by Jodie. Visited Milan, Como, Venice, Verona, Florence, San Gimignano, Sorrento, Sicily and Rome. From flights, to all the rail connections to hotels, Jodie worked to make sure everyhing was seamless and gave me the benefit of her experience. Each of the hotels were unique, in great locations and were mostly small, family run places. I would never have found them on my own. From advice on how to get to each hotel, suggested activities in each place and suggested restaurants Jodie's advice was awesome. I found the MTA App was very useful and great with updates and messages about flight times as well. So all in all, I was very, very happy and wold highly recommend Jodie to anyone.

This was the most amazing trip to Christmas & Cocos Islands and we could not have done it without Jodie's advice and assistance. Jodie organized an absolutely awesome itinerary that included things we had not thought of and her customer service went above and beyond! Great value too, thanks Jodie

We would strongly recommend Jodie for booking your next trip. She offers a very high level of service and her travel knowledge is excellent. All stages of the booking process were easy and she was always available for our endless (sometimes repeated) questions from our large group. Nothing is too much trouble for Jodie, but where she really shines is in her attention to detail... just what you need from a travel agent!

Thanks to Jodie, our group booking was handled with great advice and prompt attention to detail giving the 10 of us freedom to get on with the fun times. Jodie tailored our holiday to suit the divers, hikers, fishers, golfers, kitesurfers, and wave boarders...no mean feat. When some of our luggage didnt arrive at Christmas Island, Jodie was already sending emails to Perth Airport staff following up before we even had our first beers. Had a great holiday, thanks Jodie.

We cannot recommend Jodie enough. From the moment we made contact with her in regards to our idea of a trip to the USA she helped us with every aspect, nothing was too much trouble for her. Jodie completely understood the type of holiday we wanted and with her wealth of knowledge and extensive overseas travel experience she was able to provide great advice, a selection of amazing accommodation recommendations and information on each destination from tours, restaurants, sights and even where to find the best coffee!! Our trip was San Francisco to LA including a couple of overnight stops, then New York City and Washington DC. Every aspect of our holiday from the flights, airport pick-ups to car hire was covered. All the accommodation Jodie had recommended simply exceeded our expectations. The location of the hotels were central and the rooms comfortable and spacious. In particular, the apartment we had in New York, at the Fifty Hotel Suites, was only a couple of blocks from Fifth Avenue, Time Square and Central Park, it gave us plenty of room to relax and self-contained so we could dine in if we wanted to. Leaving Perth with a folder supplied by Jodie, filled with tour suggestions, the “where to eat”, “what to do” and “what to see” recommendations, plus the fantastic, extremely helpful MTA App ensured we had the trip of a lifetime. We cannot thank you enough Jodie for all your advice and helping us have such a fabulous and unforgettable holiday. We look forward to you helping us with the next travel adventure (hopefully soon). Jodie has been looking after our business and personal travel requirements to all parts of the world since 2010 and have always found her to be a true professional. Over the years due to changing work commitments we have had to make a lot of last minute changes to our flight schedules and no matter what time zone we were in Jodie has handled these deviations without fuss. Jodie recently organised an eight week trip to Europe for us and we found that her personal knowledge of the places we were visiting absolutely valuable and her recommendations of hotels to stay and places to visit entirely accurate. Would recommend Jodie at MTA to anyone looking to travel.

Sandra and I recently completed a holiday in Japan visiting the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Kanazawa whilst also staying in the mountain regions of Shirakawago and Takayama. Finally, we had a couple of nights on the wonderful art island of Naoshima. Jodie, together with Inside Japan, organised a terrific itinerary for us which resulted in a memorable holiday. We were very happy with our accommodation, transport recommendations, organised activities from cooking classes to Tea Ceremonies and Kimono wearing and our guides on our first days in Tokyo and Kyoto were fantastic. From the moment we contacted Jodie, the trip was put in place with great enthusiasm and the detailed booklet and MTA App proved to be reference points throughout the entire trip. Thanks Jodie for all your hard work and great advice,

Jodie, Thank you so much for your help in getting my last minute trip to NZ organised. It was just crazy, travelling three time zones in three days and I couldn't have done it without you. Having a travel agent who gets me where I need to go at the lowest cost with the best connections is a benefit which is truly priceless. But being so available to troubleshoot at really short notice is also valuable beyond measure. You're the best. If star ratings mean anything, your service is 5 star+

Our trip to South America and Antartica was wonderful. Apart from the amazing cruise on MS Expedition, everything else also went smoothly. We had well informed and friendly guides and transfers in both Santiago and Ushuaia. Jodie and her network of professional contacts at Chimu and GA adventures made travelling in this part of the world easy and stress free. The app and updates on flights were also fantastic. Thanks again Jodie for a truly memorable experience.

We had a great trip to New York over Easter, with good flights at unpopular times, so they were not very full. Jodie recommended the AKA Times Square Hotel for us, and this was an EXCELLENT choice. It wasn't right on Times Square, but was close to so many great restaurants in mid-town and Hells Kitchen, and literally next door to amazing theatres with great shows. We had a HUGE one bedroom suite, which was actually an apartment with a separate bedroom, bathroom, full, well stocked kitchen and lounge/dining, and lots of storage space so we could completely unpack, and have space to store our luggage out of sight. It was about twice the size of our daughter's New York apartment, and a couple of short blocks walk to a Wholefoods Market at Bryant Park where we could buy anything we needed. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were simply lovely. It does not have a restaurant, but there are places next door and across the road which serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and after theatre food, and the hotel serves tea and coffee in the lovely roof top terrace from 6.30am, if you want it. We mostly breakfasted in our room with fresh fruit and nice bakery items from Wholefoods, made our own cups of tea etcetera. The hotel is also close to either 42nd St/Times Square or 42nd St/Bryant Park subway stations, so it was great for getting around. We had been to New York before, so didn't do the Empire State or the Top of the Rock thing, but did go to see Waitress (fantastic), Kinky Boots (liked it, didn't love it) and of course, our daughter's show, Pressing Matters, but there were so many amazing shows we would have liked to see, but couldn't get tickets for on the days we were available - Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, Anastasia, Aladdin, Hello Dolly with Bette Midler, Sunset Boulevard with Glenn Close, Present Laugter with Kevin Kline, Sunday in the Park with George (Jake Gyllenhaal) and The Glass Menagerie (Sally Field). We walked the High Line - just beautiful in spring, sat in Herald Square among the tulips with coffee, shopped a little bit, had lunch at The Tavern on The Green in Central Park (a tourist trap, but a very good one), and visited the 9/11 Memorial, which we saw last time, and the 9/11 Museum, which was being built but is now open, and well worth a look. It was a great trip.

Jodie, The Levin Hotel in Knightsbridge was really fabulous. Being so close to Harrods and Harvey Nichols was great but the biggest bonus was being so close to the Underground and the Piccadilly Line. Heathrow transfer was so easy and almost all the places I wanted to go were an easy commute. Covent Garden was a couple of stops and I loved the flea market and Neal's Yard. I spent a great day in East London looking at the street art and had lunch at Lyle's on Shoreditch High Street. Highly recommend it for great food and interesting waiters. One evening I went to Leicester Square and it was an easy walk to the theatre to see Kinky Boots. What a fun show. I plan to go again when it opens in Sydney. I felt very safe travelling by Underground alone at night to and from the West End. London City Airport was a good choice for my transfer to Edinburgh; a lot less busy than Heathrow. The Balmoral was perfectly located and very grand. There were lots of choices for eating at the hotel, all excellent. My favourite days were going to the Modern Art Museum and the Joan Eardley exhibition, taking a walk along the Waters of Leith, a beautiful walk in the middle of the city. Stockbridge is a cute little area with bookshops, art galleries and the best coffee at Peter's Yard. The Golden Hare Bookshop is worth checking out. A great fun Pub for dinner on a cold, wet night was Kings Wark in Leith. And finally, the absolute best was a day trip out of the city to Pitchlochry to go to Iain Burnett the Chocolatier, lunch at the Inn on the Tey and a spectacular walk at The Hermitage, Dunkeld. This required access to a car. Getting out of the city was a wonderful last day in Scotland - it really is such a beautiful country. Thanks for all your organisation. The entire trip went off without a hitch and the MTA app was a great tool. I'll be in touch soon re Canada.

Jodie is the most organised and professional travel agent I have dealt with. Jodie has assisted with the planning and booking of our school trips over a number of years, and each and every time things have run like clockwork. I have recommended her to other schools, knowing she always is perfect in her planning and extremely helpful. Thank you, Jodie...we will continue to use you for many years to come...please don't retire just yet! :-)

Jodie, everything was perfect, as always. Our hotel in Amsterdam was in the best location and it was small enough to have a local feel, which I loved. Your last minute rescue with flight changes worked without a hitch - thank you. Just one question. We're you responsible for my Emirates upgrade to 1st class? It was heaven. What a way to end a gorgeous holiday. Thank you (even if the upgrade was just luck)

Jodie turned what could have been a stressful trip (visiting 4 interstate universities and 13 residential colleges with my daughter who is in year 12) into an easy one by booking everything for us so our trip ran very smoothly. All we had to think about was where we were going to eat!

My husband and I have just returned from a 7 week holiday organised by Jodie Everett of MTA. We travelled to London, Paris, Venice, Florence, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Madrid and Barcelona. It was the absolute trip of a lifetime. Jodie thought of everything! Every flight, train journey and connection was planned for us, as was the fantastic accommodation. She went to so much trouble to listen to what we wanted and find places that were simply perfect for us. The apartments and hotels Jodie booked were amazing and there was not one aspect of our holiday that we would have done differently. She was also available for any query, no matter how small, while we were away. Thank you for making our trip one of the best experiences we have ever had, Jodie. Travel agent extraordinaire!

Jodie organised our 25th anniversary/very belated honeymoon dream trip to the Greek Islands for us. Her recommendations for hotels were spot on - and she had arranged with all of them for upgrades where available, and all of them had champagne and special treats for us on arrival. Even Emirates came to the party and gave us a lovely chocolate cake in flight from Perth to Dubai, which set the tone for the whole holiday. it was intensely romantic and we felt very special wherever we went. Three days before the end of our trip, I contacted Jodie after hours in Perth and asked her to organise business class seats for the return trip, as my husband was suffering extreme asthma - she did this without any fuss, and, while I know she had no control over it, we were upgraded to first class for the awful Dubai - Perth leg, which just topped off the already amazing holiday. Jodie has been organising our family's fairly complicated overseas holiday itineraries for several years now. She even went to the trouble of checking out a hotel we had requested in Honolulu while she was on her own family holiday there, and recommended we change to a different hotel - she was right, and got us a great deal on the rooms (she was still on holiday herself). Can't thank her enough for the efforts she goes to on our behalf.

Jodie organised a surprise birthday gift of a week in Paris for my wife and her best friend. One phone call was all it took to have everything taken care of, but the best thing was to have the travel documents gift wrapped and hand delivered for me! The trip was a huge success and the recommended hotel was perfect.
