My Favourite Family Destination
Clients are always asking where I go on holidays and where is my next trip going to be.
At this stage in my family life, we love the Pacific Islands and I am always planning our next holiday to experience another island.
The Pacific is my perfect family getaway, especially when travelling with younger children.
- Shorter flights
- Safe
- Beautiful beaches
- People are warm and friendly – Islanders love children & babysitters are cheap!
- Food is similar to home (great for little kids)
- 99% of places you stay kids eat, stay and play free (or have a very nominal charge)
- Great for relaxing and doing very little (for those that like a bit more action and adventure there are enough options to keep them busy as well)
With 2 kids, presently 7 & 5 years old this is my perfect holiday. The kids absolutely love going away and getting all of mum & dads attention. A day by the pool or beach with time at kids’ club is their idea of heaven. After our recent trip to Vanuatu they have discovered snorkelling and the water sports hut – we all went kayaking most days on the lagoon.
As they get older I am looking forward to broadening their horizons and exploring Asia.
But now while they are little we will enjoy visiting a new island each year. Next for the family is two weeks in the Cook Islands – one of my favourite Pacific destinations.
