Ponant Cruise Tour Inspection
I was lucky enough to be invited to have an exclusive tour of the luxury small cruise ship L ‘Austral when it docked in Newcastle on the 2 January 2015. Myself and 3 clients were treated to a tour of the ship and then enjoyed some champagne and canapés in the lounge/bar area.
The L ‘Austral is luxurious and modern and with only 132 cabins it really does feel like you are on your own private yacht. The boat was more like a luxury hotel than a traditional cruise ship. Because of its small size this ship is able to do more expedition style itineraries and get into places where large ships just don’t have access. Customers get the added bonus of really getting to experience their destinations not just passing through. I was also amazed at the pricing and the generous early booking bonus of up to 30% off all itineraries. All cabins have a sea view, 95% have balconies and the all-inclusive package of meals, open bar, 24 hour room service, evening events and shows make Ponant great value.
