Day 1  Ahmedabad:
Arrive in Ahmedabad. You will be met and escorted by our colleague to your hotel. Later our guide will escort you on a half-day tour of the city. Take in the sights and sounds of the city as you visit Manek Chowk Bazaar – a notable city square of an old part of Ahmedabad city, surrounded by various historical structures. Continue the tour with a visit to Juma Masjid, one of India’s most beautiful mosques built by Ahmed Shah in 1423 and Hussain Doshi Ki Gufa, an underground art gallery designed by the architect Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi that exhibits works of the Indian artist Maqbool Fida Husain. After dinner, you may visit the Law Garden night markets, an evening market packed with stalls selling glittering wares from different parts of Gujarat. 

Day 2 Ahmedabad:
This morning’s tour takes you to Calico Museum of Textiles; a museum that contains one of the world’s finest collections of handmade antique and modern Indian textiles and Gandhi Ashram also known as Sabarmati Ashram, home to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi from 1917 until 1930 and one of the main centres of the Indian freedom struggle. In the evening, you will visit Vechaar Utensil Museum, the only museum of its kind in the world, displaying utensils from thousand years old to present times that have evolved over different periods of history as a result of our changing needs and environment. Later, enjoy a traditional Gujarati meal with local dances and a music performance.

Day 3 Ahmedabad:
After breakfast, you will visit Shreyas Folk Art Museum that displays the traditional folk art of Gujarat and Kalpana Mangaldas Children's Museum (Performing Arts Museum) located within the same premises - which houses a collection of puppets, dance and drama costumes, coins and a repository of recorded music from traditional shows from all over the world. You will also visit The Sanskar Kendra built by none other than the renowned Swiss-French architect Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris. It currently houses two museums Ahmedabad City Museum which covers Ahmedabad’s history, craft, art, architecture and literature and The Kite Museum, which features a collection of 100 colourful kites, along with the history of kite-flying. The afternoon is at leisure. However, a car and guide will be at your disposal should you like to explore the city. You may like to visit the Institute of Indology, a museum with miniature painting, folk art collections and collection of sculptures and Jain art and visit various temples, mosques and historical monuments.

Day 4 Ahmedabad - Poshina: 
This morning’s drive takes you to Poshina, land of the tribals. En route visit Adalaj Step-Well, the intricately carved five storeys deep octagonal well that is a spectacular example of Indo-Islamic design and architecture. You will also visit a local village to see how wooden block printing is done by the Gujjar community. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. In the evening you will pay a visit to some local artisans. 

Day 5  Poshina:
This morning, soak in the sights and sounds of the neighbouring villages and its people. A number of artisans inhabit these villages. In the afternoon, you may relax in the gardens or take a stroll around the neighbourhood. The local bazaar is famous for silver tribal jewellery, ornate sheathed daggers and terracotta horses. 

Day 6  Poshina - Patan - Modhera - Dasada - Bajana:
A countryside drive takes you to Bajana. En route you will visit Patan, home of the famous Patola Silk Saris - one of the finest hand-woven sarees produced today is a speciality of Patan. Drive on to Modhera to visit The Sun Temple, dedicated to the Sun God and one of the finest examples of Indian architecture. From here you will proceed to Dasada and visit the neighbouring villages and homes of local embroideries and weavers. 

Day 7  Bajana- Hodka:
After breakfast, you will drive to Hodka, en-route you will visit Sumrasar village where a famous embroidery museum with a superb variety of tribal and contemporary collection of textiles. Here, you will participate in an embroidery workshop with skilled master craftswomen. Later, continue your drive to Hodka, famous for its craft like decorative mirrors, lamps; hand fans, letter boxes; metal & mud work especially the exquisite silver jewellery.  

Day 8 Hodka - Banni Village - Hodka:
After breakfast, you will take an excursion to Banni Village, the last village on the on the India-Pakistan border. Here, you will witness master craftsmen working their magic on textiles and creating true masterpieces of art. The traditional embroidery that these craftsmen work on known as Banni Embroidery is known for its bright red, saffron and yellow colours along with mirror work using beads. 

Day 9 Hodka - Bhuj:
After a scrumptious breakfast, you will soak in the sights and sounds of the neighbouring villages and interact with its people. In the afternoon you will drive to Bhuj, a city that connects you to a range of civilizations and important events in South Asian history. 

Day 10  Bhuj:
The day’s tour takes you to Prag Mahal - a palace commissioned by King Pragmalji and designed by Colonel Henry Saint Wilkins in Gothic style in the 1860s and Aina Mahal, one of the finest examples of Indo-Saracenic architecture in India. The afternoon is at leisure. You may explore the local market in the evening. 

Day 11  Bhuj - Rajkot:
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Rajkot, en-route you will visit Bhujodi, famous for Piltoom weaving and traditional Rabari Embroidery. You will stop to admire the stunning Rabari textile collection and also visit a local crafts centre. You will also visit Ajrakhpur, famous for its Ajrakh – block printed cotton cloth with natural dies traditionally by local herdsmen. Continue your countryside drive to Rajkot.

Day 12  Rajkot - Gondal - Jetpur - Rajkot:
Take an excursion to Gondal, famous for its cottage, jewellery, beadwork and brassware industries and Jetpur (approximately 40 minutes, excluding stops), a centre for block printing and dying. Here, you will witness artisans’ screen block printing and visit a yarn-dyeing centre using natural colours. If time permits, you will visit the Bhuvaneswari Ayurveda Pharmacy, a manufacturer of ayurvedic medicines founded in 1910 by Gondal’s royal physician. 

Day 13  Rajkot - Wadhwan - Muli - Ahmedabad:
After breakfast, you will visit Rashtriya Shala, an education society started by Mahatma Gandhi during the British rule. Continue to drive to Ahmedabad en-route visiting Wadhwan, well known for its palace and being a centre for bandhani tie-and-dye, weaving and metal crafts and Muli, famous for textile patola weaving and handicrafts of Kathiawar. 

Day 14  Ahmedabad: 
You will depart Ahmedabad today.
