One of the reasons, I joined MTA back in 2012 was so I could provide my clients with the very best in Luxury and Corporate Travel, so I am very excited to let you know that MTA is introducing the brand new MTA Companion App!

Yet another way MTA is a leader in the Australian travel industry.

This is something that I’ll have access to, as will all of my clients… not only will it let me produce beautiful and easy-to-read itineraries and travel information for you, you’ll have access to a mobile app where you’ll receive live updates during your travels, and where I can provide everything you need for your trip! Keeping its Members firmly at the cutting edge of the latest developments in travel technology, MTA – Mobile Travel Agents has announced plans to roll out a new and highly innovative 

‘Itinerary Builder’ and Travel App for iPhone and Android known as ‘MTA Companion’. 

MTA Head of Information Systems, Ben Merricks said the MTA branded app, which will go live within the next few weeks, had been created to further enhance client service delivery while at the same time give the company a significant edge in its overall Member-provided IT capability.

‘MTA Companion’ will increase Member productivity and add yet another layer of quality in the production of itineraries,” Mr Merricks said.

“The beauty of the ‘MTA Companion’ app is that it allows Members to provide clients with something that is substantially more than just a basic travel itinerary, on their smartphones.

“Members now have the ability to equip their clients with a suite of information building on the original itinerary – be that a dining experience en route, a sightseeing opportunity, an event taking place or even the best place to shop if the client is looking for something specific.  

“Google maps and language tips can also be added, the possibilities are limitless.

“And the great thing about it is we can continue to add to that information irrespective of where the client is, at any time, while they are travelling.

“So this does really represent a huge bonus for the client and enables them to stay connected.”   

Mr Merricks went on to say the introduction of ‘MTA Companion’ was a further demonstration of the company’s ongoing undertaking to keep its Members fully across and utilising the latest service-oriented, travel related  technologies.

 “Yet again by harnessing the latest in smartphone related technology we have provided our Members with another layer of professionalism which allows them to further enrich an overall very specialised service delivery which is something MTA prides itself on.”
