The Maldives are one of the most mysterious countries on earth. In the middle of the Indian Ocean, its tiny islets shimmer like strings of pearls on sapphire sea. In total, 26 atolls dot over 90,000 square kilometres of sea.
Soneva Fushi, is set on the privately owned tropical island of Kunfunadhoo in Baa Atoll, the latest UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. This luxury resort is on an island with a coral reef and surrounded by lush jungle. The resort can be reached by a scenic 30-minute sea plane flight, direct from Malé International Airport. There are private airport lounge for Soneva guests at the seaplane terminal.
Amenities include 6 high-end restaurants serving local and international cuisine; some are beachfront, others overlook jungle. There's also a cinema, an observatory and a spa. Activities such as scuba diving are available.
