Happy Holidays

When you are booking your airfares and accommodation don't forget to talk to your travel agent about the time you have to spend on your holiday.

How are you going to fill it? Even if you have been there before as there are always new restaurants and new activities to enjoy.

Don't rely on the information supplied second hand by a friend or a family member. Instead talk to your travel agent about what you enjoy to do, your favourite sports, whether you are a sun lover and want to just hang out by the pool or you want to know a little more about the destination. Are you a foodie or a shopper?

It costs nothing to share this information with your agent. Then they can make recommendations and suggestions that just might make your holiday.

When I go away whether it's for business or pleasure I try new products as do all my MTA colleagues around the country. A number of times I have come away thinking that activity was not good value or I didn't think a transfer company performed well. It is not all about what to book sometimes it is what not to book!

All this information is shared amongst each other in chat rooms and on our data base. Many a time, I have asked for a recommendation and there is an agent who is there at the time or just got back.

It is not expensive to ask your agent to book your transfers, a day tour, show tickets and even sporting events. Don't miss out, be sure to use the information your agent can access so much quicker and more accurately than you can. Nothing beats having had someone use that same service, see the show or do a tour first hand. We can't be everywhere, but more often than not one of has been!

Having just come back from Europe, I can't stress enough the importance of pre-booking transfers, tours and tickets. Your travel time is precious and don't waste it standing in queues or worse missing out because they are sold out for the day you are there.

The more your agent gets to know you and what you enjoy the more choices and opportunities you have to make your holiday exceptional.

Happy Holidays!
