Positano, Italy 2013

My husband and I took this photo while on our honeymoon at the famous Amalfi Coast in Positano.

We loved every minute at this beautiful spot. The town has so much to offer; you can see the local Italians doing their thing, amazing food with the freshest seafood, spectacular views, boat cruises around the coast and to Capri, the ruins of Pompeii not too far away and the big city of Naples.

We found it easy to get here by train and transfer and the locals are so friendly and willing to help with anything. Positano is a very popular spot with tourists, but you still find that the culture and atmosphere has a big Italian influence. It’s a great place to find yourself lost in the little laneways and streets. You will come across some awesome architecture, views and treats! The nearby town of Sorrento is a must see too, as it is known for their famous Limoncello. Positano can offer accommodation to cater for everyone’s budgets and needs. A swim in the local Positano beach is a must, the water is so crystal clear and refreshing. We found September a perfect time to travel - the hot Italian summer had just finished and the locals were all back at work and school.

If you’re thinking of heading to Italy, this coastline is a must see!
