Mexico and San Francisco – May 2015

Ever wanted to enjoy the Caribbean Side of Mexico – Cancun is your Answer – the glitter strip of Mexico East Side with amazing resorts!  Family style, Adults only and all offering a huge range of standards.

My Husband and I enjoyed a week at the exclusive Secrets The Vine at Cancun – an all-inclusive Adults only resort. The rooms are spacious with fabulous views over the Caribbean Sea and the resort itself has 3 separate pools to choose from if the beach is not you. The busy pool with all of the activities such as Pool Volleyball, Karaoke and even Poolside Salsa Dance Lessons is always a hive of activity or you do have the pools for the quieter ones – away from the noise.

Perhaps you would like to just relax in your own Private Cabana with your personal waiter or dine at one of the many restaurants  - they have on offer an amazing array of both Mexican and International cuisines.  It is all inclusive, so what are you waiting for!

You are steps away from some amazing day trips if you want to get out and about from your Cabana -   We had a fabulous day out driving our own little 2 seater boat through the jungles and out into the ocean for a terrific snorkelling experience.

You could take a tour to Tallum – 3 hours south to visit the Maya Ruins or if you are a night owl and want to have a very, very different experience have a night out at Coco Bongo - http://www.cocobongo.com.mx/en   Words cannot describe – take a look at the link.

A visit to the local markets is a must to pick up some local Mexican souvenirs. A sombrero, Tequila, Mexican Platter – beautiful colours or silver jewellery – locally made.

After a wonderful week of relaxing, eating, drinking and enjoying the Mexican hospitality we headed over to San Francisco for a couple of days on our way home.

San Francisco is one of my favourite cities – it has heart. The best way to see all of the main sights is to take yourself on the Hop on/Hop Off Coaches and enjoy the different sights at your leisure.

Absolute musts:  Alcatraz Island, - Clam Chowder lunch at Fisherman’s Wharf, a visit to Sausalito – the other side of Golden Gate Bridge, a cable car ride and sit and people watch in Union Square.

Thank you for the memories Cancun and San Francisco and now looking forward to my next adventure – Taking 22 people to Turkey in September!

See you soon!
