Sue has meticulously planned some of the most important moments of my life. From memory-making family holidays in the jungles of Borneo, to bucket list items like Patagonia, Antarctica and most-recently, the Glacier Express in Switzerland, Sue's eye for detail, extensive industry knowledge and tailored approach to her clients means success beyond expectation. Sue can turn a random idea into a curated masterpiece. She is unflappable. Sue has an exhaustive list of contacts, hotelier relationships and decades of travel experience which she uses to create joy for anyone lucky enough to have her at the helm. I am just so grateful for our wonderful superstar.

We had the pleasure of working with Sue Basedow on a last minute opportunity to travel the Golden Triangle in India - Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and back to Delhi. Despite having mere days to sort it out, Sue gave us confidence and put together a stellar itinerary with the help of Banyan Tours. This was despite the G20 taking over Delhi the same week. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and luxurious break - we were treated like royalty and every little detail was taken care of so we felt safe and yet challenged by the experiences on offer. My wife and I engaged Sue to advise plan and book our dream 12 week trip across the USA and Canada, July-October ‘22. It was a major undertaking involving significant travel by train, ferries and flights, booking a myriad of apartments/hotels and arranging a number of day tours. Sue’s meticulous planning and execution resulted in 86 days of seamless international travel without a single adverse incident, incredible. She is delightful to deal with, has a wealth of experience, is always calm and genuinely values feedback so that advice to clients is current and accurate. Throw away your guide books, we used Sue’s marvellous travel App which not only stores all documents and itinerary but contains comprehensive information on history, restaurants, transport, must sees, local tips on every single place we visited. Because of Covid, we were forced to cancel our overseas travel plans. On the cancellation of our trip with a major airline, we were informed that our fare was not refundable, despite the cancellation being no fault of our own. Sue took up our cause and represented our situation. After months of work and persistence, Sue was able to achieve a very favourable outcome. This example reinforces our view that overseas travel is best coordinated with Sue Basedow at MTA Travel because she has the experience and business relationships needed to create good travel plans and deal with the unexpected. Sue helped plan and organise a school camp for us. Her organisational skills can not be faulted she thought of everything from start to finish! Sue was great with communicating everything with us. When we had to unfortunately cancel due to COVID Sue was understanding and helpful. We will continue to use Sue for all bookings in the future and would highly recommend her for all bookings!

We have had Sue Basedow arrange many of our trips and they have always been so well organized and all arrangements have been perfect, Sue had done all the work for our planned Spain, Portugal trip that was to take place in June and then the world stopped due to COVID. Sue booked my Travel & Tour arrangements to Petra, Israel & Egypt & I experienced the most wonderful holiday, which will remain in my memory forever. Tour leaders were knowledgeable & caring. Sue arranged for me to be met upon arrival at the airports & guided through Immigration & Security check points, plus she also arranged private transport to/from my accommodation. We have been arranging our holidays with Sue from MTA for more than 8 years now & have never been disappointed with what Sue has presented to us with regards destinations & options for where we can stay. Sue's knowledge of the places that we have been overseas is excellent as she has visited or stayed at many of the locations that she recommends, providing great insight for people who haven't been to a particular country before. Our latest trip was to Vietnam only a couple of weeks ago, but Sue has organised travel in other places for us such as South Africa, the USA, Europe & the Maldives to name a few. My husband and I just returned for a trip to Canada. We thoroughly enjoyed our travel experience organised by the Sue and MTA Team. We flew into Toronto and then travelled by train to Montreal and Quebec City and then on return a stop over in Kingston and then back to Toronto. I would highly recommend travelling by rail as it is a very relaxing way to view the scenery out side the cities and no one had the stress of driving on the ‘wrongside of the road’. We visited the Niagara Falls on our return to Toronto. I highly recommend Sue and the MTA Team particularly if you live busy lives and haven’t visited your planned desitination before. The MTA’s knowledge of places to visit and hotels to stay is invaluable and it alllows you to get the most out of your holiday destination. Sue organised for us to stay at the Auberge Saint-Antoine Hotel in Quebec it was a joy. Sue always seems to know where you get the best service and always manages to pick the nicest places to stay that enhances your visit in every way. Train travel and hotels and a trip to Niagara Falls all organised and booked and an APP with itinerary to refer too at all times was for us organised and stress free travel at its finest. I want to say again how grateful Julie and I are for the mega effort you put in to get us on our way. You turned a potential disaster (cancelled flight due to an airline reschedule) into a minor inconvenience and we know that it was at the cost of your own AH personal time. It seems that I have had a few experiences now that have shown the value of having an experienced travel agent helping sort things out, but I am very very conscious you go well beyond what you have to do, just to make sure we get into the air in good shape :) Narelle

We have just had an amazing holiday in Chile, Argentina and Antarctica. it worked liked Swiss clockwork because of our wonderful travel agent Sue Basedow. Once again Sue, that marvelous travel app was like you holding our hand, telling us where and when to go. I've said before, give her an idea of what you think you want and she magically makes it happen. Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile was everything Sue said it would be, and more. If you like the outdoors with spectacular scenery, walking/hiking and wildlife.you won't be disappointed, especially if you stay at Hotel Las Torres. Antarctica is incredible. Chimu the South American specialists once again did a superb job and joining forces with Albatross Expeditions in the Antarctic made for a very special 5 weeks. Thanks again Sue and don't retire too soon we still have a couple of adventures left in us for you to help us with.

As usual, Sue provided us with amazing support throughout the booking process and even while we were away. We struck some problems when our airline cancelled their own flight! Thanks sue so much for all your organization for our trip. Everything has run so smoothly and you even arranged a last minute transfer on a Sunday night when we messaged from Italy! To top it all off, you turned up at our hotel in Italy to say hello whilst you were on holidays yourself. All part of the service!

My recommendation for Sue Basedow as an MTA travel agent/consultant could not be more deserved. I have used Sue's services for a number of years. When I was teaching, Sue arranged a number of complete trips for whole year levels, with air flights and full itinerary, which operated like clock work. On my retirement from the profession, Sue arranged an extensive around world trip including train travel with reserved 1st class seats, air fare and hotel bookings. This event went without a hitch! Recently, Sue assisted with the booking of another European trip which, for personal reasons, had to be cancelled. As Sue had arranged the travel insurance, she assisted with the submission of a claim, which was paid out by the reputable insurance company. At all stages of the claim, Sue acted with compassion and professionalism, she answered any questions promptly and solved any issues with integrity and efficiency. My wife and I intend to re-book our trip at an appropriate time, and will not hesitate to use Sue and MTA for this event. We could not recommend Sue and MTA highly enough!

I was very fortunate indeed to be introduced to Sue Basedow at MTA travel by my son who has had long and very successful travel experiences through the excellent work that Sue always achieves at MTA travel.
