More Information

Day 1 Sydney - Uluru-Kata Tjuta

Aboard your Royal Jet, you will chart a course for Uluru. Arriving in the Red Centre, you'll make your way to your luxury lodge, Longitude 131°. After making yourselves comfortable, you'll take in the unique perspectives of an Uluru sunset. Glass in hand, you'll admire the changing colour of the monumental rock. You are then held spellbound by the Field of Light installation. With darkness descending over the vast landscape, thousands of tiny individual light sources gradually illuminate the surrounding area in a kaleidoscope of colour. Your evening concludes as we gather under the stars and dine amid the dunes at Table 131°, weather permitting.

Day 2 Uluru-Kata Tjuta

Following breakfast in the Dune House, we head out to contemplate the sheer rock walls of Walpa Gorge. A viewing platform then allows us to take in remarkable Kata Tjuta; its red rock domes populating the desert landscape. Afterwards, a visit to the Cultural Centre offers insight into Indigenous traditions. Back at Longitude 131°, we refuel for this afternoon’s activities. At the base of Uluru, our guide begins to share the story of the Mala people; more is revealed as we continue on to Kantju Gorge. Here, we enjoy drinks and canapes before a setting sun. This evening, we savour contemporary Australian dishes in the comfortable surrounds of the Dune House.

Day 3 Uluru-Kata Tjuta, Cairns, Mount Mulligan or Daintree Rainforest

This morning, venture along a pathway through the lush, tree-lined Mutitjulu. Aspects of the Anangu beliefs system are revealed , before morning tea is served in the shade by Mutitjulu Waterhole. After transferring to Ayers Rock Airport, reconnect with your Royal Jet. Heading north-east, set sights on Cairns. On arrival, you'll split into two smaller groups, allowing for an even greater immersion. Half of the guests enjoy a coastal drive north to the Daintree Rainforest, before checking in at Silky Oaks Lodge, a peaceful retreat secluded within dense rainforest. Our remaining guests, meanwhile, board a helicopter for their flight to Mount Mulligan. After taking off, fly over part of the Great Barrier Reef and its adjacent islands, before heading inland over the rainforest. Soon, this verdant scenery gives way to a remote and rugged topography. On arrival, absorb all the outback charm of Mt Mulligan Lodge.

Day 4 Mount Mulligan or Daintree Rainforest

With a full day to appreciate the respective surroundings, plunge yourselves into a few of the Your World experiences on offer. While in Mount Mulligan, learn about the area’s mining history, pan for gold or head out along a nature trail through the arresting landscape. Keep an eye out for birdlife at Mulligan’s Waterhole, throw a line in to tempt the local barramundi or, if our dates align, witness the mustering of the station’s Brahman-cross cattle. This evening, relax under the stars, as you savour a seven-course degustation dinner. Meantime, guests in the Daintree may choose to explore the flourishing Daintree River and Mossman Gorge, learning how to live off the land on a guided walk with a local Kuku Yalanji guide. Alternatively, board a luxury catamaran for a cruise to Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the company of the local green turtles. Tonight’s dinner is at Silky Oaks Lodge. Alternatively, a shuttle bus will take you to Port Douglas for a pick of its best restaurants.

Day 5 Mount Mulligan or Daintree Rainforest

A 4WD adventure awaits Mount Mulligan guests this morning. As your vehicle negotiates rugged mountain ranges and river crossings, keep your eye out for various species of native flora and fauna. Upon reaching Daintree Rainforest, meet up with the rest of our guests once again. After exchanging stories of our experiences over lunch, enjoy the afternoon on your own schedule, or perhaps join a workshop at Janbal Art Gallery. The gallery is run by the Kuku Yulanji people, and you have the opportunity to create your own artwork, under the tutelage of celebrated artist Brian ‘Binna’ Swindley. Our Daintree guests say their farewells once again and depart for Mount Mulligan, aboard customised 4WD vehicles.

Day 6 Mount Mulligan Or Daintree Rainforest

Whether in Mount Mulligan or Daintree today, take the opportunity to join one or two of the Your World experiences available. At the end of a day full of exploration, the chefs at Mt Mulligan Lodge and Silky Oaks Lodge ensure the finest local ingredients make for an indulgent evening’s dining.

Day 7 Whitsunday Island, Sydney

Depart your respective lodges after breakfast this morning. Boarding a helicopter, guests leaving Mount Mulligan soar over vast forests as they make their way to Cairns. Meanwhile, our Daintree friends head south, glimpsing azure waters while gently winding their way along the coastal road. Coming together once more, we take the short flight from Cairns to Hamilton Island. Awaiting our arrival is Ocean Enigma, our privately chartered 24m boat. Embarking our luxury vessel, we raise a toast to the final leg of our journey before a backdrop of tropical paradise. A cruise of the stunning Whitsundays builds anticipation, before we arrive on the impossibly white sands of Whitehaven Beach. With time to swim in the beach’s warm waters, the day reaches its peak with a delicious gourmet seafood lunch and champagne served on a private section of sand. Having explored four of Australia’s most wondrous and distinct regions, we reboard our Royal Jet and depart for Sydney.
