Shanghai China
Shanghai is one amazing city and has so much to offer. It was my fist vist to Shanghai and I must admit I was blown away by how incredible the city is.
With a population of over 24 million, it is one of the most organised cities I have travelled to. There is a fantastic transport system, high speed trains and local tourist buses that can get you around so efficiently. The city is known as The "Paris of Asia".
As a tourist, there is plenty to do. From the high end restaurants at the Bund - The Mercato and M on the Bund to a day trip to one of the water villages for a cultural experience.
If travelling with kids, the Shanghai zoo is a must with the giant pandas or a visit up the TV tower to try the highest roller coaster in the world. Shanhai Disneyland is set to open in 2016.
I suggest a pre - organised private tour to get the most of your time there or a hop on / hop off bus tour.
The hotels are world class, the service and food and shopping is amazing.
