Las Vegas Travel Tips

  • The best time to visit is Sept, Oct, Nov, Mar, Apr and May as the weather is glorious with the days warm and the evenings quite cool. Dec, Jan and Feb is also pleasant during the day with cold nights. Jun, Jul and Aug brings the very hot temperatures and you should always carefully consider the location of your hotel in these months due to the fact that the strip is long and it can be uncomfortable walking the length of the strip at this time. The half-price tickets stands are a great way to buy tickets for the many shows on offer. Just be aware that if you have a show that you really do not want to miss out on, for example Cirque Du Soleil 'O', it is best to pre-book tickets before you leave for your trip.
  • Age Restrictions. You must be at least 12 years of age to drink alcohol and to gamble. Also many properties do not let people less than 21 years of age to check in unless they are with an adult over the age of 21 years.
  • Babysitting Services. Some hotels offer Childcare facilities and the hotels that do not have this facility will organise babysitting services for you. If you are travelling with children I can investigate these options for you when arranging suitable accommodation.
  • Don't forget to visit the Fremont Street Experience located on the historic street that started it all in downtown Las Vegas. It is home to Viva Vision, the biggest big screen on the planet.
  • There are many tours on offer from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Whether you want to travel by helicopter, plane or bus, there is something to suit everyone!
  • If it is shopping you are after, Las Vegas has plenty on offer. Only a shuttle bus away are two great Factory Outlets for the best bargains and many of the shopping malls in the themed hotels are fun to browse through. Don't forget the Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and the Fashion Show Mall, which is one of the nation’s largest shopping centres with seven flagship department stores and 250 other shops and restaurants.
