Kamalaya Wellness Retreat Koh Samui - May 2015

I have just returned from a trip to Koh Samui in Thailand. Certainly had a chance to do some good shopping at the Central Festival Shopping centre, which is fairly new, having been opened for just under a year. We also visited the sights of the Giant gold Buddha and some amazing temples.

The highlight of the trip was our stay at the positively beautiful Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary and Retreat. This place has to be one of the most serene and amazing places I have ever stayed at. The setting is just as you would want to see, from the beach up the hillside with all buildings done is such a way to blend in with the greenery. Everything about Kamalaya is first class. The staff are just amazing, you could not even single out a special one as they were all so special. The food is just so fresh and tasty with a very extensive menu. All the fruit drinks they make are also very inventive and delicious. We had quite a few treatments and the rooms they hold them in, the way you are treated, the lovely amenities that go with it, and of course the staff who do the treatments, make for a very enjoyable experience.

We stayed in the new suites at the top of the hill near the new 25 metre lap pool and the two storey gym that looks over the ocean. These are all just recently build. The gym is classed as the best in Thailand, if not Asia.

If you are looking for a special place to relax and be looked after, this is where you need to go.
