USA and Caribbean cruise Aug/Sep 2013
Just back from another great holiday in the USA which now takes my number of states visited to 21. It was great to see some places that I have not visited before. We first of all had a week in New York, and no matter how many times you visit, there are always new things to do that you have not done before. We then flew down to San Juan in Puerto Rico where we did a tour of the town, which is very interesting, very old forts to explore, which is were we embarked on our 7 night cruise to the Caribbean islands of St Lucia, St Kitts, Barbados and St Maarten. We had great weather and calm seas, which was very lucky. There are some beautiful spots to discover there. We then flew back from San Juan to Philadelphia. Really enjoyed the historical part of Philadelphia and Lancaster in Pennsylvania along with the Amish country and Hershey, where the chocolates are made. We also visited a wonderful place called Annapolis in Maryland where the Naval academy is, and what a beautiful town it is. We crossed the Delaware Bay and travelled through Delaware and into New Jersey along the Jersey shore and finished in Atlantic City.
