Travel Tips

Passport Validity: Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity from the date of your return to Australia.

Travel Insurance:  Not compulsory but would you risk it…buy travel insurance.  Different policies areavailable for the individual to suit your needs. For the corporate or frequent traveller then an AnnualPolicy is an option.  You do not want the stress of something happening whilst overseas, make sure you have adequate cover.

Smart Traveller: A good idea to register your details with Smart Traveller prior to your departure – www.smarttraveller.gov.au  Registering on this site is invaluable when travelling overseas.

Visas: It is important that you have the correct visa/s for the country/ies you are visiting or transitting.  I am happy to assist you with these prior to leaving Australia.

Electronic Authorisation for USA: ESTA is a compulsory Visa Waiver Program which allows visitors from Australia and other participating countries to travel to the United Stated for 90 days or less without first obtaining a visa. It is recommended this be processed at least one month prior to your departure. To access the electronic authorization system, please log onto https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov for information regarding compulsory pre-registration.  Once the visa has been granted, the visa will be valid for up to two years and for multiple-entry visits to the United States.  It is recommended that travellers keep a print-out or record of their ESTA application number for reference, if required at airports or seaports.

Frequent Flyer Details:  The name on your Frequent Flyer Membership must be the same name on your Passport.  Cheaper fares on most International Airline’s, will not accrue points on the Frequent Flyer Programme.  Please retain all Boarding Passes, until points have been credited to your Frequent Flyer Account. Qantas Frequent Flyer Upgrades – can be waitlisted after ticket issue.  This can be done 90 days prior to departure at the earliest or a min of 48 hours prior to departure, at the latest.  If theycan confirm, it will be on the day of departure by Airport Checkin.
