Phuket Paradise

In August, I travelled to Phuket, Thailand’s largest island located in the Andaman Sea.  This was my third visit to Phuket and this time I choose to stay 5 nights at Club Med Phuket, followed by 2 nights at Inter-Continental Phuket Resort.

Club Med Phuket is located on Kata Beach and is set on 16 hectares of lush nature.

The resort was fully renovated recently and has four different room types: Superior, Deluxe, Suites and the Family Oasis with direct access to the Splash Park and Snack bar, creating the ultimate family sanctuary.

The resort has three swimming pools including an adults only Zen pool where you can escape for some peace & quiet.  For the more active guests, there is an array of included activities around the resort to enjoy including Yoga, Pickleball, Tennis, Golf, Archery, Rockclimbing and even a Flying Trapeze just to name a few.

When the sun sets over the ocean, dine at their Signature Buffet or the Gourmet Club for a more private dining experience.  After dark, enjoy amazing nightly entertainment including aerial artists and then dance the night away.

This all-inclusive resort features, Gourmet all-day dining, Premium open bar, Activities, Nightly Entertainment and Complimentary Kid’s Club from age 4 years.

Our next stay was at the stunning InterContinental Phuket Resort, a 5 star Luxury resort located at Kamala Beach.  The resort is cocooned by jungle-covered hills at one end and offers breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea from the other. Experience global culinary adventures at seven themed dining outlets including a 2 Key Michelin Star restaurant or soak in one of the five outdoor swimming pools.  Indulge in wellness rituals at Sati spa, or relax on your sunbed as you listen to the soothing sounds of ocean waves.  Room types include Pool View, Pool Access, Beachfront Suites and 1-3 Bedroom Villas each with their own private pools.  A lovely relaxing resort to chill out for our last couple of nights.

During our time in Phuket we visited the Phuket Elephant Nature Reserve which has an ethical hands-off approach with a strong focus on high welfare standards for their elephants. You can feed, meet, and observe their rescued gentle giants as they play in the mud, splash in the water, and roam the land at Elephant Sanctuary.  It was a wonderful experience.

We also took a daytrip to Phi Phi Islands by speedboat to visit a number of beautiful islands and a chance to snorkel, feed the fish and view the wild monkeys on Monkey Island.

Overall, another enjoyable holiday to this beautiful part of Thailand where I am now a converted fan of Pad Thai!!
