Ladies only South Africa Surprise. Part 4

My tenth surprise was when one of my crazy girls Angie, bungie jumped 216 meters from the Bloukrans bridge. This is the world's highest bungy jump. Angie regarded herself as a "scaredy cat", so we were all very proud of her.
My eleventh surprise was the delightful accommodation at Tsitikamma Village Inn, situated in the quaint village of Storms River, along the Garden Route. The weather had turned foul, so there was no zip lining and we had ill ladies, but the hospitality was fabulous. Next door to this accommodation is Marilyn's 60s Diner, a fun eatery filled with memorabilia.
My twelfth surprise was the churning, wild waters of the foaming Indian Ocean. We hiked 2 kilometers along the shore and through the forest before crossing the 3 swinging suspension bridges.
My thirteenth surprise was the beauty of the coastal towns Knysna and then Mossel Bay. If only the weather had been fine!
My fourteenth surprise was the Ostrich Show farm at Oudtshoorn. This was a really interesting experience as the birds can be quite peckish! I bought a tote bag which was extremely good value but one of my girls JoAnne contributed way more to South Africa's economy.
My fifteenth surprise was the 20 millionyear old Congo caves situated 30 kilometers from Oudshoorn. These caves are one of the world's great natural wonders consisting of a series of hidden chambers cut deep into a thick limestone rock layer. An underground wonderworld!
My sixteenth surprise was the delicious food. South Africa is all about fresh local food and paddock to plate is very popular. They love meat, so a braai (barbeque) is a common activity. I like their bilton (jerky). We also tried their bunny chow, which is a hollowed out bread loaf filled with a meat curry.
My seventeenth surprise was a lunch stop at Van Loveren Vineyard in the Robertson Valley. Here we sampled the local wine and cheeses. We also tasted the Royal Rhino and African cream liqueur.
The final surprise was "the table cloth" on Table Mountain. The huge, flat mountain was covered by the orographic clouds so we couldn't take the cable car to the top. Nor could we take the ferry to Robin Island. (This is the third time this has happened to me)! So we made do with a city tour. Just another reason for me to return.
