Namibia Day 5

We stayed in Swakopmund, a popular beach resort 30 minutes north of Walvis Bay. This pretty town is characterised by 19th century German colonial architecture and is famous for its seafood. We enjoyed delicious oysters and kabeljou fish at two popular restaurants, The Tug and Brewer and Butcher Near the Mole. It was delightful to stay in the centrally located, maritime style, Brigadoon Guest house. This 7-room comfortable guest house was set amongst a green landscape garden abundant with flowers, such a contrast from the desert.
