Namibia Day 6

On day 6 we drove 4 hours to Damaraland. Firstly, we headed north up the coast passing the Zeila Shipwreck before heading inland towards Namibia’s highest mountain, Brandberg. Desolation is the only word to describe this isolated area. No villages, just what appeared to be unmanned roadside stalls displaying skeletons! This was until we reached the tin mining town of Uis. For lunch we stopped at Cactus and Coffee Teagarden Restaurant, the only place to be in this empty, desolate area. The ice cold beer at this quirky lunch stop in the middle of nowhere, made it the best day ever.
