Day 1 - Ubud: Upon arrival at the airport, be met at the arrival-hall by our airport representative who will assist as escort through the immigration and customs process and handle the necessary paperwork to ensure that there won’t be any long queuing. While your luggage is collected you have access to a lounge offering complimentary snacks and drinks. The airport representative will assist with luggage handling and lead the way to the arrivals zone where the guide and driver will be waiting for the transfer. In the evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner at hotel.

Day 2 - Ubud: Spend this morning discovering the many charms of Ubud. Lace up the running shoes for a gentle short walk on famous Campuhan ridge starting from the North to its Southern end. Wander amid the verdant fields, stopping to take photos of probably the most gorgeous hillside vista in the region, it also allows you to shed off some calories too. At the end of the path hike along the paved road pass the Campuhan bridges and visit the Blanco Renaissance Museum. Antonio Blanco is arguably the most famous artist to have ever lived in Bali and his former home has been converted into a museum with an extensive collection of his works as well as his studio. The Museum stands as testament to his love for Bali.

From the museum continue drive to Warung Ibu Oka, a busy local style eatery that is popular with locals and travelers alike to enjoy the favourite dish of the Balinese people, Babi Guling or suckling pig. After lunch visit Ubud’s Royal Palace built in the 16th century the palace is still home to Ubud’s king and its royal family. It can be seen from the outside only. Just across the street is the famous market of Ubud – a great opportunity to hunt for souvenirs! 

Relax at a spa where and enjoy a 60-minute of Balinese massage with organic facial or body scrub. Following treatment, return to hotel and dress up before dining at a nice local restaurant in Ubud. Overnight at hotel in Ubud.

Day 3 - Ubud /Jatiluwih /Taman Ayun: Depart with the guide and driver in the morning after breakfast at 07:30 and head to Marga Village in Tabanan for a Balinese cooking class. Upon arrival at the village, be welcomed by a local representative and brought to a typical Balinese house. Here, experience a unique Balinese cooking class where the local chef will and explain about Balinese ingredients and how to use the equipment needed for cooking. After completing the class, sit down in the relaxing environment of the home and enjoy a self-cooked Balinese meal.

Following lunch, proceed to Bali’s UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih, which offers the widest panoramic view of Bali’s iconic rice terraces. Located on a slope near the holy mountain of Batukaru, this area is known as the Rice Granary of Bali and provides one of the island’s best examples of subak-style rice farming. Take a leisurely hour-long walk through the rice fields here and be sure to take lots of photos. Visit the Royal Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi. This temple is known for its unique multi-roofed structures and its beautiful setting around a fish pond-the perfect place to see traditional Balinese architecture in its full glory. Return to Ubud late this afternoon.

Tonight “Mozaic” is on the menu. The French-style restaurant using local ingredients with it beautiful garden is tucked away in a quieter part of Ubud. Enjoy a tasting menu in in a lush and romantic open garden setting or in a spacious and cozy dining pavilion. After an amazing dinner, head back to the hotel.

Day 4 - Ubud /Tampaksiring /Tegalalang: After you enjoy breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will pick you up around 8:00AM for the short drive to the village of Mas.  This little village is located about 9 miles from the center of Ubud and is known for its time honored wood carving tradition.  This skill is passed down from generation to generation, refining and recreating styles over the decades. Here you will have an opportunity to take part in activities which are unique to the Islands of the Gods, Bali. First you will meet with the village priest where you will receive a private blessing from the priest which is performed in the sanctity of the house temple.

After the blessing, set off on this Bali temple tour with a visit to Pura Gunung Kawi. Set amid lush rice terraces in the village of Tampaksiring, the 11th-century temple can only be accessed by a series of staircases. The effort is worth it, arriving at the top to admire a series of ten shrines carved directly into a cliff face. See elements of Hindu and Buddhist architecture, learning from the guide about the significance of the temple and its carvings. Continue to nearby Pura Tirta Empul, a popular water temple for local devotees. Discover why water is such an important element in Balinese Hindu culture, hearing how it is used as holy medium and at special ceremonies. Then take a soak in Tirta Empul’s cool spring water, with the water pouring from the numerous fountains that fill the pools. 

Next to a coffee plantation in Tegalalang and take a short tour through the fields, enjoying the fresh air and lush highland surroundings. Take a rest and enjoy a fresh cup of java or tea and a light snack while admiring the views over Tampaksiring’s valley. Lunch will be served at a nice local restaurant. 

In the afternoon after lunch resume the drive to a coffee studio. Meet with a trained barista to learn expert coffee brewing techniques. Choose from a variety of courses, focusing on espresso, latte art or professional ways to judge the quality of coffee. This interactive class is the perfect way to conclude the day and return to the hotel late this afternoon. 

After freshening up, be picked up by the guide around 19:00 and head to Locavore Restaurant. This award-winning restaurant offers five dishes which are cooked in an open kitchen by a Dutch chef and his team. In between these dishes, be served many small creative “amuse-bouche” for a sample of many different flavors and dishes. Apart from the delicious food, the restaurant is known to use only locally-produced food -no imported food items are used. After an amazing dinner, head back to the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 5 - Ubud: This morning, embark on a culinary adventure unlocking the secrets of authentic Balinese cooking, utilizing traditional ingredients and preparation methods, in a fully equipped community village kitchen. Your day starts early at the Ubud markets, where you can pick from fresh herbs & spices, crisp vegetables and choice cuts of meat, before heading off on guided ‘padi’ expeditions. Upon your return to Laplapan village, you will be warmly welcomed and expertly guided by your host, who will help you to discover how to create your very own delicious authentic Balinese dishes. You’ll then meet in the kitchen and begin your cooking. Not only will you discover the herbs, spices and techniques of Balinese cooking but you will also learn about the ceremonial and cultural significance of food in Balinese society. At the end when all food has been prepared by you and the other participants you sit down to enjoy the meal together with a glass or two of local rice wine or homemade hibiscus tea. 

Following lunch, you will visit Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest; Make your way to Pura Dalem Agung where you will learn about the Hindu spiritual significance the temple. This temple is located at the highest point in the forest and is still used for ceremonies. Your guide will also explain the architectural details of the Holy Bathing Temple and the Cremation temple. Return to hotel for freshen up. 

In the evening, start a culinary journey with a sunset over Sayan Valley. Sip a cocktail and enjoy Asian/Latin fusion tapas while the cicadas are chirping in the background. Continue to the fine dining restaurant over the Campuhan river then choose from several main dishes Celebrate the end of this evening with a tasting session of sweet delicacies. Choose to head back to the hotel or remain in the area of Ubud for additional drinks.

Day 6 - Ubud /Uluwatu /Jimbaran /Sanur: Enjoy the morning at leisure before checking out and departing to the South of Bali. Lunch will be served in a local Warung in Sanur an authentic Padang food venue. Padang food is the cuisine of the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It is among the most popular food in maritime Southeast Asia. It is known across Indonesia as Masakan Padang – Padang food! Note that the venue is very basic, yet, authentic! Check in to the hotel in Sanur and have free time before the afternoon tour.

Visit one of Bali’s most impressive temples, Uluwatu, which is majestically perched on the edge of a steep cliff. As the sun sets, be treated to a dramatic kecak dance performance, which involves male performers chanting rhythmically and percussively while throwing their arms in the air. 

Then return to Jimbaran to experience CUCA Restaurant an Artisanal Tapas Cocktails and dessert place, situated in a leafy coconut grove and beautiful gardens of Jimbaran. Enjoy Chef’s Tasting Meal which specially created by Chef Kevin Cherkas. Be surprised and let the whole dining experience up to the Chef, undoubtedly the best way to enjoy Cuca. It consists of highlights of their menu that best reflects the soul of the restaurant. (Inclusive of a variety of tapas, desserts and their very unique digestives "Cuca brews") Following the dinner, return to the hotel.

Day 7 - Nusa Penida /Sanur: At approximately 08.00 AM meet your guide and driver and proceed transfer to Serangan Harbor. Embark the Rhino boat for your private charter trip to Nusa Penida Island.  Arrive in Nusa Penida, take land transfer by car to Kelingking Beach / T Rex. After enjoying the spectacular Panorama, return to your boat and depart for snorkeling activity and enjoy light lunch on board. Snorkeling site will be determined based on ocean / water condition. Return to mainland of Bali around 15.30 PM. Upon arrival in the harbor, meet your guide and drive to your resort. In the evening you will be escorted to the special venue to have a unique cave dining experience.

Day 7 - Denpasar /Tanah Lot /Sanur: After breakfast at the hotel, set off for a half day Denpasar city tour (Bali’s capital). Head to the famous Badung market, a vibrant kaleidoscope of spices, herbs, fruits and other Indonesian delicacies. Learn about the various ingredients on sale, learning how they are used in local cuisine and watching as the vendors and shoppers haggle for the freshest items. Sample some of the fresh tropical fruits on offer, savoring the intense flavors of locally-grown produce.  

Walk a short distance to a typical Chinese coffee shop. Sit alongside the locals while sampling freshly brewed coffee and enjoying a bit of people watching (1 cup of freshly brewed coffee is included or try the famous Kopi Luwak at own expense). Continue to the Bali Museum to browse the wide selection of archaeological findings such as weapons and sculptures. Gain insight into the island’s cultural heritage as the guide explains the traditional paintings, textiles, instruments and theatrical masks that are also on display. 

The final visit is to Bajra Sandi, Bali’s war museum. Housed in an impressive building, the museum exhibits showcase the different wars during Indonesia’s fight for independence. Learn about the country’s military past and the complex, often tragic, history of this island nation. Following this insightful half day Denpasar city tour, time permitting you will return to the hotel. 

In the late afternoon and transfer to the seaside temple of Pura Tanah Lot.  Arrive just before sunset and find a quiet place to sit and contemplate the beauty of this sacred site. The guide will explain the seven sea temples of Bali and the history of 16th-century Tanah Lot. Then watch as the sun begins to set, casting beautiful colours upon the temple and the sea. 

Following this mystical sunset, it is time for dinner. Head to Tugu Bali for a dining experience like none other. Step into a hall filled with a vibrant mélange of exotic antiques, Indonesian art, textiles and more. Be seated at a table for a traditional Tugudom dinner, enjoying a lavish selection of imperial dishes from the Majapahit Palace era as well as authentic coastal cuisine. While savouring these exotic flavours, witness an incredible spectacle of theatre reflecting the royal parades of the King of Majapahit and his entourage. Having indulged the senses in the sights, sounds and tastes of Bali.

Day 9 - Sanur /Seminyak: Discover the spiced flavors of Bali’s virtually unknown cuisine. Classes offer a fascinating introduction in to the exotic ingredients and unique culinary heritage of Bali. They provide a valuable insight into the various techniques, traditional and modern, of food preparation and the cooking style used in homes across the island. Classes start with an early morning visit to the local vegetable and fish market where many of the ingredients are purchased for the day’s program. This includes spices, meat, chicken, cakes and the freshest available seafood. Visitors will witness and experience the very busy, early morning activities of the local community, who is eager to finish their shopping well before 8.00 am. Next we visit the one and only fish market on Bali where we collect the freshest fish directly from the returning fishing fleet. No fish will make it into our shopping basket that has not crystal clear eyes and carries the freshness of the wide ocean.

After a satisfying breakfast of Balinese cakes, fruits, black rice pudding and a bowl of tender sweet rice flour dumplings in palm sugar coconut sauce; we will leave the comfort of the dining pavilion and enter the wide open Balinese kitchen. Dressed in black and white aprons and a copy of 20 recipes participants will be guided through the many secrets, and flavors of Bali’s cuisine. Following the cooking class, continue to visit Uluwatu Temple, majestically perched on the edge of a steep cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. It is one of the key temples believed to be Bali's spiritual pillars. Return to hotel to get refreshed.

Around 16:00 get ready for a flavorful night out. Join a local guide for a Seminyak food tour along the main strip and the hip Petitenget area, long standing favorite destinations for dining and nightlife in Bali. When the sun begins to set, head to a stylish rooftop bar on a Vintage Vespa to start evening with a cocktail and magnificent views. After the sun has dipped into the ocean and while the surfers catch their last waves, continue to a chic eatery that combines well contemporary international and traditional Indonesian themes. A healthy starter platter is served while outside on one of the busiest streets of Seminyak. Indulge in a bit of people watching as local residents and tourists flock to the diverse dining venues in the area. 

Take a short drive to the next stop on this culinary crawl, arriving at a wooden Javanese Joglo house for the main course. Tuck in to a dinner of Nasi Campur, tapas-style Indonesian dishes served around a rice pyramid. Savor the exotic spices and delicate flavors of truly authentic local cuisine. Then it is time for dessert. Step into a stylish lounge set amid the rice paddies where a delicious sweet dessert is served. Soak up the views of the illuminated rice fields while satisfying the sweet tooth. Having tasted the best of Seminyak’s culinary scene, return to the hotel or, for night owls, continue to one of the many bars in the area for a nightcap.

Day 10 - Sanur: Breakfast at hotel At certain time, meet your guide for a private transfer to DPS Airport for your flight. On arrival at the airport, bid farewell to your guide and meet our airport representative who will assist with luggage handling and lead the way to the check-in counter, after checked in, Our airport representative, will assist as an escort through the immigration and customs process and handle the necessary paperwork to ensure that there won’t be any long queuing and you will be in the right gate. OR You may choose to extend your stay in Bali, and we can assist with this.
