Barcelona - A New Perspective

When you visit a new destination or city how is the best way to see everything…in a city like Barcelona for example?
I try to map out what is achievable on foot, including the “must see” attractions and the “if I have time” places that I try to fit in once I have located them.
Always on my itinerary is a day tour and more often than not a guided walking tour so I can orientate myself in a new city or town. I prefer small group tours that get up close with the local guide and allow a much better insight into the destination.
This month, I chanced upon a new tour offering a snapshot of Barcelona. A photography based tour for amateurs like myself, more experienced photographers with serious cameras and even iPhone-ography is acceptable!
It promised to show the best spots to capture the "Gothic masterpieces, local life, and secret street art" and it did just that and so much more. What was also interesting is that we walked with a local around areas that perhaps most tourist may miss like Borne, Raval and the harbour districts.
This tour certainly inspired me to spend more time looking for interesting angles and perspective for my travel photographs all the while absorbing the wonderful history and sights of beautiful Barcelona.
Adding to all this, we were recommended to a local restaurant that served the most delicious meal that we enjoyed in the entire trip despite traveling in to some well know foodie destinations!
Local knowledge is always the key.
If Barcelona is on your radar, let me book this tour for you so you can enjoy this fantastic not to be missed experience.
