Phuket, Thailand
The Pearl of the Andaman, we all love Phuket, it’s one of those destinations that you have to visit at least once in your lifetime. The food, the people and the beaches are amazing.
A few years ago, my husband and I needed to relax and switch-off for a week so I suggested we try Phuket in a nice resort. What a difference a hotel makes to how you enjoy a holiday!
Situated north of the Surin Beach headland and on the island's west coast, Pansea Beach is still a hidden gem. Only one other luxury resort shares the private bay with its clear turquoise waters and pristine white sand beach with exclusive access for guests only. The hotel I am talking about is the The Surin Phuket, which is a member of Design Hotels™ and a Nominee for the World Luxury Hotel Awards.
The resort is perfect for honeymooners and couples but also caters for families. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and located in a very tranquil setting.
The pool is great as you can see from the picture above but if you book early enough, I recommend the villas on the private beach. You can literally walk out of bed and into the water and nothing beats sleeping while enjoying the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.
If you need to venture out to the city, The Surin is about 20 minutes away from Patong by Taxi or Tuk Tuk or you can visit Choeng thali which is a 10 minute walk away for lunch or dinner as there are many restaurants and bars on the beach. The Beach club is a must if you make it there.
Other activities we tried are cruises to Phi Phi Island, Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island.
