Africa Part 3 - Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls

In Zimbabwe we stayed at the Victoria Fall’s hotel. We stayed in the stable rooms which would be my pick out of all the room types. They were lovely inside overlooking the courtyard and fairly modern considering the rest of the hotel is historic. The hotel is well maintained and I really enjoyed staying here as you can access the falls walk from the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and look right down to the falls, you can see the spray and all the gorges from the main areas, you get a real sense of history at this hotel and it has maintained its colonial feels.

We didn’t get time to do the high tea but this would be great, every night they have a buffet dinner with entertainment, this was a bit of a disappointment so I would suggest that you do the Boma dinner up at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

The pool area was lovely and we enjoyed a few jugs of Pimm’s after a swim, they even have a live African band and BBQ lunch every day.

A stay at Victoria Falls wouldn’t be complete without at least two nights here!

Activities I experienced from Victoria Falls:

Victoria Falls Helicopter: I Highly recommend this, it is a must to really see the falls and gorges.

Zambezi Explorer Sunset Cruise: Cocktails and canapés, I recommend the signature upper deck.

The Lookout Café: Great spot for lunch and the food was yummy, you can watch friends do the Gorge Swing or Zip line.

Lunar rainbow: Only if the weather is really clear as we didn’t get to see much at night due to the fog.

Eat out for dinner: We went to Mama Africa’s for dinner and they have live entertainment.

Victoria Falls Markets.
