I recently spent two weeks in Santa Monica, which in my opinion is the best place to base your stay when you visit Los Angeles as it offers great shopping and a great taste of the LA lifestyle and best of all it’s on the beach! I then spent quite a few weeks in Newport Beach Orange County California, where my husband and I rented a home right on beautiful Newport Beach. We got to really live the California beach life style just like the locals, we did our grocery shopping at the Local Pavilion Supermarket and they even issued us with our own discount card. California is such a great holiday destination and at the moment with our dollar being so good against the US dollar, it is the best time to go as there really is so much to do and experience.
