Boracay Island
Voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (according to Condé Nast Traveler readers in our latest Readers' Choice Awards).
Boracay is definitely on the top of my destination list! Only an hour plane ride from the very busy city of Manila, when you arrive on Boracay Island you are welcomed by the locals with an icy cold bottle of water to cool you down and then shuttled off ready for your Island adventure With its calm beaches, powdery white sand and palm trees that dance in the breeze... you’d think you’ve died and gone to paradise heaven.
You may choose to be adventurous and go quad bike riding, parasailing, snorkelling or you may just want to go on the glass bottomed boat in search for Nemo. I myself opted for massage on a cabana lounge on the beach followed by mocktails (or you may choose cocktails instead) brought to me while my daughter played in the calm waters within my view.
Preparation for dinner time on the island begins at 4 pm when the mouth-watering aroma of freshly caught seafood cooked to your liking with condiments added at your request lingers in the wind as you walk along the path trying to decide which restaurant you will try this time. Some establishments have option for seating on the beach where you are served your dinner with the sand on your feet and the lulling sound of calm water on the beach.
Go see for yourself - you too will fall in love with this tiny beautiful Island Paradise.
