Digital boarding passes available for International flights

The option to use mobile check-in and receive a digital boarding pass has now been extended across our International network, with the exception of a small number of destinations, including US flights which will be available later this year.

Digital boarding passes are designed to make travel through airports more seamless and are available through the web and mobile check-in on Qantas.com and via the Qantas App. Previously, customers who checked in via digital channels (desktop computer) were required to print their boarding pass at home or the airport.

Eligible customers can finalise check-in and passport checks online and head straight to the lounge or boarding gate after passing through immigration and security – all with the digital boarding pass on their mobile device.

Qantas customers on most international flights departing Australia, and on most flights departing from Qantas ports overseas can use digital boarding passes. There are several exceptions currently including US, China, Indonesia and Philippines flights.

Customers departing the US will be able to access digital boarding passes from October 2018.

Customers can access digital boarding passes via International online check-in which opens at 24 hours and closes 90 minutes before flight departure. Eligible customers include passport holders (some visa restrictions apply) on Qantas marketed and operated services.
