Las Vegas
Australians are the number #1 overseas visitors to Las Vegas. With the draw of the casinos, entertainment, shopping and of the course the stunning hotels.
Las Vegas is, a destination, an icon, a place people always dream about going; when you say The Vegas Strip, everybody knows exactly what that is.
This city is the hotel and entertainment capital of the world with countless shows, nightlife, restaurants and events that are always changing and there is always something new to offer travelers.
My favorite place in Las Vegas to visit is Fremont Street; the old Vegas district in downtown. It is being completely revitalized and becoming a mecca for entertainment with something to offer to people of all tastes, styles and backgrounds. A mesmerizing night time lightshow, free live music and not forgetting the Slotzilla zipline...a Vegas must.
If you want to feel inspired, I recommend the Le Reve Cirque du Soleil show at the Wynn. It is mesmerizing and will be a spectacle you will only find in Las Vegas.
If you want to hit the all-you-can-eat buffet scene, I recommend Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for international flair, The M Buffet at the M Resort on the south strip for simple, yet elegant food choices and finally Bacchanal at Caesar’s Palace for an all-out experience you won’t soon forget.
My recommended hotels are definitely the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore. What I love about these hotels is that they really capture the true Las Vegas; with fantastic dining options, unbelievable entertainment (Showstoppers is simply...wow!) and they even have the only golf course attached to a resort on the Las Vegas strip. Stunning hotels.
My destination insider tip for Las Vegas is that there is a secret pizza counter at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, where you can order New York-style slices. No signage identifies it: just go to the third story and hunt for a narrow hallway (with a pinball machine) between two of the resort’s swankier restaurants. This little pizza place has a subway vibe and is perfect for partiers looking for a quick, affordable bite in the late hours.
Always remember...what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
