Cook Islands - January 2013
In January 2013 I finally had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Cook Islands. This is a great destination for families, couples or honeymooners. The Cook Islands are made up of 15 islands which lie halfway between New Zealand and Hawaii in the South Pacific, scattered across 2.2 million square kilometres of a seductive, sensual ocean. Boasting an idyllic climate, warm welcoming people with the widest white smiles, the Cook Islands is an Island Paradise!
We stayed at the Pacific Rarotonga Resort in a Beachfront Suite located on a gorgeous lagoon with turquoise waters, great for swimming relaxing and snorkelling. The rooms are well presented and the resort is located walking distance from shops, cafés and restaurants. The Cook Islands offer some of the South Pacific's best beach sand-palm-sea paradises.
I recommend you hire a scooter and explore this small island - it only takes less than an hour to circumnavigate the Island. The Aitutaki Lagoon in the Cook Islands is one of the most beautiful island lagoons in the world, with its world-famous stunning lagoon, coral reefs and small islets. Aitutaki has many attractions, including the magnificent lagoon itself and the small islands that border the lagoon. The scuba diving is also fantastic with the fringing reefs having a great deal of coral and marine life. The coral sand beaches are second to none and the accommodation ranges from 5 star luxury to small beach huts. The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa will leave you breathless.
