New York in Winter

Have you ever been to The Big Apple in winter? Yes, definitely cold, but oh so beautiful!

We recently spent a week in NYC and Boston. Most days called for jacket, scarf, gloves and beanie to keep warm whilst enjoying bike riding through Central Park, walking the Freedom Trail in Boston, a Sunset Cruise on the Hudson to check out the NYC Skyline, Staten Island and Brooklyn Bridge by nightfall and heading to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Centre. Brrrrr was definitely on the end of our lips, but find a sunny spot (as the skies are blue as can be most days), and you quickly warm up!

Everyone embraces the cold here, and it adds to the charm of New York. Days are a little shorter - but that is part of winter - and there are plenty of great bars, in both New York and Boston, so go and explore after dark. Or why not head to Broadway for a show or two - theatre or comedy, plenty to choose from!

For those rainy (or snowy!) days, there is plenty of Museums and Art Galleries to choose from. A couple to add to your list when in Boston is the JFK Library and Museum - an amazing collection on the history of the Kennedy family and also a visit to Harvard - a definite must!

So much to do, so little time....we really could have done with another week :)
