Shangri-la Fijian Resort and Spa Fiji

We first travelled overseas as a family to Fiji in March, 2011. This was an unforgettable experience and the beginning of our family's love affair with Fiji.

We were met at the airport by our transfer company representative who welcomed us to Fiji with a shell lei and a much appreciated bottle of water each. Once the car was packed with our many belongings including a double pram, we were on our way to our home for the next 12 nights - the Shangri-la Fijian Resort and Spa based on the Coral Coast. The transfer is approximately 1 hour door to door.

Upon arrival at the beautiful property, our 1 and 2 year old daughters were given lots of kisses and cuddles by almost every employee on duty. We were treated like family and it was at that momentthat we vowed to return every year.

There are several room types of accommodation to choose from and the resort is suitable for everyone from couples to families. We had booked the Superior Lagoon Garden View room which was located on the ground floor and only a short walk from the pool and family restaurant where up to 2 children under the age of 12 eat free when dining with a paying adult.

Nannies are available through the resort for $24FJD total for the first 3 hours and $7FJD for each hour after that. They are booked through reception and require a minimum of 3 hours notice. They love your children and and ensure that they have an amazing holiday experience while parents enjoy some couple time and relax. The Nannies are amazing and we have had the same Nanny for each stay at the hotel and she is now a part of our family.

There are many activities to do at the Shangri-la from the golf course to putt putt golf, swimming, snorkelling, motorised water sports, fishing, diving or bike riding. Alternatively, you can venture intothe local town of Sigatoka to explore the shops and visit the food markets. Day tours are plentifuland the tour desk at the hotel can arrange these for you.

The Chi Spa is a must to experience. They offer many tantalising treatments varying in length from 30 minutes to an overnight stay. I experienced one of their treatments and would highly recommend a visit during your stay.

Fiji is a fabulous destination for holidays, weddings or conferences and I would love to assist you with making your travel bookings so you too may experience this amazing destination.
