About Kyara
When researching my family tree, I discovered many of my ancestors were travellers, seems it has filtered through to me. Our Dad always took us all over the east coast of Australia on school holidays. One Aunt filled my head with her adventures in other countries, so in my late teens early twenties I left this beautiful country to go live amongst the history of UK and Europe for a few years. On my return still unable to settle I ventured across the Tasman to live in New Zealand, but always Australia was calling me back. The only way to satisfy my lust for travel, I decided was to become involved in the Travel Industry.
Fifteen years with Qantas gave me great experience, training and knowledge, after the Erina Qantas Travel office closed I worked with Harvey World Travel, then an invitation to join MTA in June 2006 has seen me go from strength to strength. Being able to work mobile has given me time to both fill the dreams and wishes of clients as well as enjoy a relaxed lifestyle with loads of time for family.
For ten years I have been a Qantas Holidays Golden Global Achiever, Harvey World days I was always a Gold achiever, now with MTA I am in their Platinum Group and a Virtuoso Advisor. Connections made through attending Virtuoso week allow me to find the best for my clients.
I have put the time in to become a Master Cruise Consultant. I have a real passion for cruising for I find this the most relaxing way to holiday, no packing and unpacking daily or extra early starts to get to the next destination.
Over the years I have also looked after corporate clients and sporting groups. My sons both played rugby so I have a close connection with their Terrigal Trojan Rugby Club.
Looking back I have been fortunate with the amount of travel I have been able to do, sometimes with family, sometimes escorting groups and best learning experiences come when travelling with fellow Travel Agents, being introduced to and allowed to inspect so many properties.
One of my favourite clients often jogs passed me of a morning when I am on my way to the beach for an early morning swim, and she calls out “Hello my wonderful travel agent”, much to the amusement of those she jogs with. That always makes me feel ten foot tall!
