My Travel Tips
- Australian Passport holders must travel with a current passport, which must be valid for 6 months after the date of your return to Australia.
- It is recommended that before departure you refer to www.smartraveller.gov.au website for the latest information and to register your travel details on that website.
- Take a copy of your passport and carry separately from your passport (useful if you lose your passport).
- Leave a copy of your passport and your Travel Insurance Policy with family at home in Australia.
- Currency - advise your banking institution of your intent to travel and which countries you will be travelling to. If you intend to use your local bank ATM card to withdraw cash, check with your provider as the card has to have the Cirrus and Mastero symbol on it. You must also have a pin attached to the card. Many places will only accept pin and not signature.
