Los Angeles
In February 2014, I stopped over in Los Angeles on the way home from Las Vegas. I have visited LA many times and always find something new to do when I go there. This time I stayed at Venice Beach which was great... every evening I could walk or cycle for miles along the beach - it is a great people watching area!
I took a Walking Food Tour through the Farmer's Market which was a great way to combine a history tour with lots of taste testing from different stores there. Plus I got free tickets to see The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I didn't know who would be appearing when I booked the tickets but found out a few days before that it would be Jim Parsons - Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory - so it was awesome to see him on the show!
Los Angeles can be a little overwhelming for a first time visitor - there is a lot to see and do and the city is quite spread out so choosing the best place to stay depends on where you will want to spend most of your time - but I will be more than happy to help you plan the perfect California stopover.
