CHINA 2013
Last year I travelled to China. What a fabulous experience !!
I was fortunate to stay in the most beautiful Peninsula hotels in both Beijing and Shanghai.
Beijing is the cultural heart of China. I walked on the Great Wall of China and explored The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Beijing has so much history. I would recommend at least a week to explore.
I travelled on the bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai which is an amazing experience. Very quiet and travelling over 300 klms / hour. A great way to travel and even shorter time than what it would take from airport to airport.
Shanghai was my favourite. Such a multicultural city and beautiful to stroll along The Bund early evening and some fabulous places to dine and shop including Nanjing Road. A very modern city.
I would highly recommend China for those who want explore somewhere different with culture, history, shopping, dining - China has it all !
