Sun and Snow:
In March 2012 I was fortunate enough to be invited by Ski Max on an educational to Whistler/Blackcomb. The quality and extent of the skiing available for young and old which caters for all levels of skiing is absolutely amazing. Go hard or take it easy, it's your choice. The dreaded queuing for lifts is minimal, an absolute pleasure! I skied during March, the snow was great, the weather is warmer and it's off peak season.
During the evenings there is an abundance of après ski activities depending on what you want to do. There is a great choice with regards to accommodation, geared to suit your budget. I do find that the ski slopes in Europe have more of a magical fun ambiance and atmosphere compared to the ski slopes in the USA and Canada.
The flight from Sydney to Vancouver is approximately 14 hours with a coach transfer to Whistler/Blackcomb approximately 2.5 hours. It was a wonderful ski experience which I can highly recommend.
