About Alicia
I joined the travel industry 25+ years ago and am amazed at how the time has flown by! I enjoy sampling the different and varied food one can find around the world - and what could be nicer than pairing it with local wines. I like fun experiences - stroking an orangutang in Borneo, riding camels (Turkey and Morocco) and elephants (India & Zambia), swimming with a whale shark (Exmouth), hot air ballooning (Napa Valley & Cappadocia) and scenic helicopter flights (Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon). Mauritius, Turkey, Japan, Morocco, France have offered many highlights too numerous to list here. I am a Tour de France tragic and hope one day to use 4 wheels to top all the famous climbs.
As the years have progressed the cruising side to travelling has begun to appeal more and more (it's so relaxing), but I also still enjoy independent travel and love the experience of beautiful hotels and the excellent service and attention one receives. In the past few years I have had North America high on my list to visit as my son is now based in San Francisco and I find a lot of times the journey ends with a detour to somewhere in the USA/Canada. I have tried to incorporate some less visited areas such as Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and the Utah National Parks. Europe remains my passion. I was fortunate to spend some time in Sicily and able to soak up the history and enjoy the countryside, small trattorias, and local cuisine.
I love to plan and create exciting holidays and itineraries for my clients. It is hard to pick a favourite as I enjoy both city and country visits. To choose a favourite between London, Paris, New York, Rome is too difficult as they all have their special charm and wonderful memories. Always worth going back to!
I am passionate about getting it right and like to collect a lot of insider information from satisfied and happy clients. My aim is to give my clients the best, trouble-free travel experience for any of their holidays - whether long in depth visits or short term breaks, every holiday must count as one of the best. Delivering a journey where all the connections run smoothly is the highest priority. I also enjoy the challenge of creating special individualised itineraries for my clients and will go to great lengths to make it perfect.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking, the theatre, opera, symphony concerts and try every year to win seats to the Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Eve Concert. One day it will happen!
