About Debbie
Travel is more than simply a journey. It should excite, inspire, and captivate. Whether it's in the spirituality and colours of vibrant India, the history and romance of magical Europe or the wild open plains of Africa; it should awaken your senses and fill you with a sense of adventure. Everyone has a different journey, different inspirations and aspirations motivating their planning (and no two journeys are ever the same).
My travel journey started at a young age, when many a childhood holiday inspired me to take planes, trains and automobiles and start discovering the world for myself. I have been lucky enough to have lived in 4 beautiful and diverse countries, South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia and have travelled through countless others. The journeys themselves have transformed with my changing lifestyle. From trekking across America, driving through England and Europe and relishing 5 star getaways to Hawaii, Canada and Vietnam, when I was single and relatively carefree to busy family holidays in South Africa, Australia and Asia, with the arrival of a husband, 2 children and a great deal more luggage!
Some of my personal highlights have been watching the sunrise over the Grand Canyon, soaking in the warm waters of Iceland's Blue Lagoon, standing in a silent, magical snowfall on the shores of Lake Louise, watching a leopard wander gracefully across the floodplain in front of my tent in Zambia's South Luangwa Valley.
Moments, that no matter how much you travel, still take your breath away.
In our house, travel is a passion. We love the decision on where to go next, what to see and do when we get there and what we can incorporate along the way. In fact everything other than an attempt to pack! Together with my love of great coffee, my wonderful extended family and all things African, travel is in our blood. My children have travelled with us since they turned 3 months old. We hope to nurture in them, our love of adventure, new places and new cultures as well as discovering their heritage. It is something I try and instil in everyone's travel plans.
Not simply to focus on the final destination, but genuinely enjoy the journey of getting you there and sharing your memories on your return.
With 26 years experience and a bucket list of my own, I know it is sometimes the smaller details that matter. In travel, as in life, you get what you pay for. This is where, with information overload available at your fingertips, there is no substitute for first-hand experience and personal, professional guidance to ensure your journey runs smoothly from start to finish.
So, whatever your plans, whatever your budget, whatever your destination - nothing is too big or too small for me to handle. Through MTA and their huge range of premium preferred partners; the expertise, service and peace of mind I can offer are second to none. All of this, at a time and location convenient to you. Whether it is by phone or email, or in person at your home, your office or even your favorite coffee shop. Service that goes the extra mile.
In the words of Mark Twain "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
