About Danielle
Travel is in my DNA. I have been born into a very cosmopolitan family with origins from Greece, Holland, England & Scotland. When I was very young my family and I lived in Papua New Guinea for a short time. My Aunt was one of the first Hostess's on KLM's flights to Australia and I have family history that started back at Amsterdam's famous Schipol airport. To say I'm a clash of cultures is an understatement which makes travel my passion.
After studying a Tourism course I was fortunate enough to gain a full time position with Qantas in 1996. Since then I have been lucky enough to have 20 years of working in the travel industry. My love of travel started with the Flying Kangaroo in 1996. My first role was working in International and Domestic reservations then on to the Qantas Industry Centre supporting all the travel consultants and their agencies Australia-wide including the Platinum agents support desk. It is said that fares from Australia are some of the hardest to configure in the world yet I enjoyed every minute.
For the last 6 years I have worked in a local Boutique travel agency planning adventurous family holidays, relaxing family times, holidays for young travellers who may or may not have ever been out of Australia, individual tailor made travel for professionals and travel for the busy retirees.
I have travelled to several parts of Australia. Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide including the Barossa Valley, Perth including Margaret River as far north as the Pinnacles, Brisbane, Cairns, Port Douglas, Airlie Beach and cruised the Whitsunday Islands bare-boating. I consider myself an expert on the Gold Coast where my parents have an apartment.
I have travelled to New Zealand's north and south Island, Japan, China, Thailand, Hawaii, parts of the USA including Seattle & Las Vegas, Canada, travelled the Rocky Mountaineer from Banff to Vancouver and also the Coastal Passage from Vancouver to Seattle. London & Paris, Hong Kong, Fiji & Vanuatu.
I have trekked Machu Picchu's 43km's in 3 days and at the end the love of my life proposed! On this trip we also visited Argentina, Buenos Aires, Iguassu Falls and many parts of Peru. This trip was one of the best I have made, we travelled by plane, train and car. Real local travel with real local guides and experiences made it one to remember.
I specialise in leisure and corporate travel. I tend to work with time-poor people, busy families with working parents, schedules full of extracurricular activities who are counting the sleeps till their next family holiday or adventure. This is why I have chosen to work with MTA, so I have access to a myriad of resources, exclusive deals and fantastic buying power whilst being supported by a great company with plenty of security.
A big advantage of having me as your personal travel planner is being able to deal directly with me each time without having to go through a gate keeper, either on the phone, in person, via email or we can meet over coffee at a convenient place to you. Flights, holiday packages, insurance, and visa applications are all on the menu.
I promise to deliver a professional and dedicated personal service every time.
I look forward to hearing from you so we can begin planning your next trip of a lifetime.
