I have been in the travel industry my entire working career, over 20 years. I enjoy it so much.
I began in 1987 working full time for Tasbureau, which later became the Tasmanian Travel Centre. When this company was privatised I went to RACT Travel where I was a Senior Travel Consultant for 9 years.
For a total change of pace, I joined the Regional Express Airlines (REX) reservations team in Burnie and enjoyed seeing the travel industry from a different perspective, working for the airline, not as an agent.
I left travel briefly to start our family, but returned to the industry when the wonderful opportunity arose to join MTA – Mobile Travel Agents in August 2012. Working with MTA is perfect for me to be able to work full-time and also to be able to spend quality time with my family as well.
At MTA I am able to provide my clients with the best possible deals available.
Over the years I have travelled to many destinations across the globe, creating wonderful lifetime memories, and that is why I enjoy being a Travel Agent, to be able to assist my clients in creating wonderful memories also.
Some wonderful holiday destinations that I have been fortunate to visit are beautiful Ireland, Scotland and the United Kingdom, Europe in fabulous Autumn, tropical Fiji with it's crystal clear blue waters, the fun and adventure of Disneyland, fabulous New Zealand with its beautiful countryside. As well as our beautiful own Australia having visited each State a variety of times.
Having travelled before starting my family and then with our children, I have experienced all types of holidays, so I have tips for travelling with and without children.
